I had a couple of coupons for $15 off a particular shirt that I bought in store. One coupon specifically stated that I could buy in store or online. When I tried to pull out the coupon to use, the store associate explained to me that no coupons could be used on the brand clothing that I was purchasing. I found it odd because I kept getting bombarded with emails specifically stating that I could use the coupon on the particular shirt that I wanted to buy. Trusting the store associate, I took his word and paid full price for the shirt. On the way home I couldn’t keep thinking about the coupon. So I looked it up online only to learn when I got home and try to buy it online that in fact I was able to use the coupon on that particular brand. I don’t know if it was ignorance on the store associate’s account or if he was just trying to make the store more money. Read moreWent in with my boyfriend and his three brothers to purchase five suits. One for each of them and one for their father that had just passed away. We advised them upfront od the day we needed them. They started to get measured and from the beginning a lady that was not even helping us by the name of Jennifer, I believe, was extremely pushy, unwelcoming, demeaning, disrespectful, and extremely rude. If we were not so strapped for time to ensure they were dressed identically for the funeral we would have took the time to go to another location. On top of everything suits were over priced. Well over 500 a piece with horrendous service. I can't believe how rude the staff was and how badly they treat each other but how badly this lady Jennifer treated the staff and us as customers. My only issue is as follows: when I got home after spending almost $500 in store, I found a coupon in my mailbox that would have saved me a lot’o’cashola. When I called the Gen DXL number I was told nothing could be done except if I brought in all I purchased, do a return, and then repurchase with the coupon. DXL is a remarkably customer friendly store, except here, the only way to resolve this is for me to do the hour round trip to the store and probably a 20min process once I get there. I would hope there’d be a way to reconcile this situation over the phone, especially for a loyal customer, a DXL rewards...
