I would give this place 0 stars if I could.Man o' Man. I have been a loyal customer at this location in Oak brook Terrace for years. Today was one one the worst experience I have had with a manager at a restaurant in my entire 33 years on this earth. My waitress Amber was very rude and over worked. I'm not sure if she had a attitude due to the fact that she was the only waitress working on our side of the restaurant. She took forever to take orders and barely came to check if we needed anything. Amber messed up our bill twice and was upset with us that she had to fix it. The second time she fixed it she came to collect the money I advised her that the bill still not right but whatever we will pay according to the last bill she gave us. She sat the bill and my credit card on the table and stated I don't have to deal with this I will get my manager to come and take payment.I did not raise my voice I did not get rude with her at all. I advised her that it was totally fine. The female manger come over and her attitude was the worst I have seen out of a manager. She walked up with a attitude with the waitress stating that its glass broke on the floor and everything. My 4 year old made a mistake and made the pepper shaker fall off table and it broke. First off it was a accident. FYI.. if you don't want kids inside for mistakes to happen I need you to band the kids from the establishment. I advised her to just take my payment so we can go. She kept getting smart and being rude. I told her she must don't know who I am and she told me honestly I don't care who you are and offered me her business card, I declined and told her that don't worry ill find you cause word of mouth is powerful. She went on to say we need to leave her restaurant and she will call the police .A manager is supposed to come and diffuse the situation and we feel she made it way worst then what it had to be.Waitress Amber and manager was very very rude to us tonight for this visit and I will not be returning to this location. I will definitely not be referring people to this location anymore. It saddens me to say that as I refer everyone here for social meet-up, party's, afterwork hang outs etc.cause this have never happened to me here. You guys have lost a loyal customer because of your female manager. I say female as the male manager is awesome. RUDE...
Read moreUnfortunately i really cant say very good things about our experience at the Oakbrook Location. We chose to dine at Bar Louie Oakbrook after an awesome experience at the new Naperville location and unfortunately the outcome was not as expected. We dined there with a few other couples about 10 ppl in total on a mid afternoon Sunday about 2 weeks ago. I was so pumped to once again have this “new to menu” fried chicken sandwich i had in Naperville. I even talked my friend Wes into getting it too because i thought it was so good last time. First of all the sequence of service was quite odd. The side of fries ordered with the entree arrived before the entree. Then the sandwich came a few min later. Upon looking at the sandwich i notice it was grilled not fried as the menu states or as i received at the Naperville location. The sauce was also missing. Wesleys sandwich was the same. We brought it to the server’s attention, she was kind and apologized and returned the food to the kitchen to be prepared properly, stating that the menu is new and there is a bit of a language barrier with the cook who is Spanish speaking. ( i fully understand as ive been a professional chef my entire career ) again unfortunately the sandwich was now only dismantled, the already cooked grilled chicken was tossed into the fryer only to end up like beef jerky and sandwich re assembled with the original ingredients and returned to our table. Not a new properly made sandwich as requested. At this point we just deemed it uneditable and consumed the now cold fries. The server once again apologized and said she would remove it from the check. When the check came the entree was only discounted but we were charged for the fries. ( I've never heard of this practice but ok, i was willing to pay for what we ate ) i guess there was no MOD at the time but one arrived before setting up and when the situation was brought to their attention the bill was again adjusted for the full amount. Needless to say the MOD never approached the table. Mistake happen. I get it. But this was compounded, mistake after mistake. On & on. I will continue to dine at bar louie in Naperville, just as long as they don’t fall into the same mistakes...
Read moreOn Sat June 28th we went to a birthday celebration at Bar Louie. The original time was 6pm and we got there at abt 645 for rsvp of 15-20. The place was empty. When we got seated, it was so cold inside we asked if we could use the patio. Yanni/server told us it was under construction. Asked where we can smoke and pointed to the front door and repeated again the patio was under construction. As he was taking our order, he was very rude. So rude that he was asked if he ever worked at Dicks Last Resort!! He had to mention several times how had bartended for 30 years in Cali. He made sure we were aware of that. Very aware. He also started saying you can only use 3 cards for rsvp. As our guests arrived, he reiterated the policy but also tried to say even with cash he still needed a card. They mentioned how rude he was, so now I know it wasn't us. Time went along and we noticed some Caucasian ppl sitting on the patio. When he came past our table I asked him to give me the real reason we couldn't sit on the patio. He began to say he does not control the other employees. So I say "if it's under construction it would be a safety issue for ppl to be sitting out there". Then he said elderly ppl don't like to sit close to the dj. The 4 ppl out there were not elderly. Our party started moving onto the patio where now they're are actually seating ppl since they were requesting it when they arrived. They had severs on the patio including Yanni. No one asked us if we needed anything. Yanni even told the workers there were were being rude to him which is why he was being rude us and he wanted to leave and go home for the night. Only after I called him out. PLEASE STOP PATRONIZING THIS BAR LOUIE. It is under new mgt and clearly the staff is racist!! All demographics patronize this Bar Louie. It's one of the amenities listed for the Holiday Inn it's attached to. They wanted to put a margarita in a cognac glass and charge $20. I'm sure the Holiday Inn will not appreciate their business bring affected by the racism of the Bar Louie. See below the...
