OC Jewelers — Local services in Ocean City

I wanted to restore a diamond ring. Initially the jeweler appeared pleasant and was willing to work with me in restoring an anniversary band. He stated the price would be approximately anywhere from $2700-$3500. I returned to the store with an $1800 down payment and I would be paying the remainder at the completion of the ring. It was at this time that the jeweler told me I had to pay the full amount upfront. I thought how odd considering he had not performed any work for me. After discussing it with my husband we decided that it was not a good idea for us to continue on with this jeweler. However, upon returning to the store to to retrieve my ring, this is when I became very concerned.especially in light of the increasingly racial divides and tensions that is unfortunately occurring in and around the US. So I asked if requiring payment in full before a service was rendered the norm and his response was shocking but maybe not so shocking. The jeweler responded but stating that requiring full payment before service was not the norm but that he could do whatever he wanted to do because his business was private. I was surprised at first but afterwards I realized that this was not at all surprising and certainly not on the eastern shore of md. Due to my ethnicity I was prematurely deemed as someone who could not pay. This jeweler did not know me and even had he known that my spouse and I are commercial property owners and my husband, a successful cardiologist/electrophysiologist with 30+ years of experience, I do not believe it would have made a difference, not even in 2022. I will absolutely never return to this establishment, nor will I encourage any friends or...

Our first experience with Mike and Anna at OC Jewelers was exceptional. My wife was searching for a very special piece of jewelry. After carefully listening, Mike suggested he take a shot at making it from scratch. He hit it out of the park and made the perfect piece which will be forever cherished.

This past Christmas I needed a gift for my wife but could not physically go to the store due to recent foot surgery. With a simple phone call, Mike and Anna again had the answer. Anna took the time to photograph several options based on a few bits of information that I had provided. Upon texting those to me, I was able to make a selection which again was the perfect piece! The icing on the cake was Anna's offering to deliver the gift to me in person, fully wrapped and ready to make our Christmas very special.

Both my wife and I cannot say enough good things about Mike and Anna and OC Jewelers. We tell everyone we know that there's no other place to look for jewelry. They are very special and we are so glad to have them...

I can not say enough good about Mike and Anna! They are so kind and just wonderful people! My boyfriend of 4 years proposed to me on the beach and the ring didn't fit, which could be expected. But, I was so excited and had to wear it right away! We were still going to be in ocean city for another few days and I just couldn't wait that long to wear my new ring! I did some searching and couldn't find a jewelery store that could resize the ring same day until I called and spoke to Mike. I was so nervous about trusting someone with this important of a ring but they were amazing and exceeded all expectations!
