Walgreens — Local services in Ocean Springs

Awful customer service at the pharmacy. I've been using this exact pharmacy for a decade - well before it was a Walgreens (it was a Rite Aide previously). At first I was told my script would be filled by 6pm (3 hours after drop off). Then I was told 7pm or I could take my prescription elsewhere. Since it was only 1 hour later, I figured I could wait (by the time I took it elsewhere and had it filled it would be an hour wait at least anyway). So then at 7pm I was told it would not be ready to pick up until 10:30am the FOLLOWING day. People need lifesaving meds...don't jerk people around like that. Their only solution was telling me to "either wait or take your prescription elsewhere". Unacceptable. I had severe pain from an nasty intestinal infection and without the antibiotics I could have went septic and wound up back in the hospital. They showed ZERO compassion. The male pharmacy tech was about the rudest person I have ever encountered. He has no business in the healthcare/customer service industry. Walgreens has officially lost a decade long loyal customer. I won't even go there for my vitamins and...

I’m a little annoyed with Walgreen’s right now. The last two times I have gotten chocolate from them, it has been melted into the wrapper. It was frustrating because I got some for Christmas and ended up giving people melted chocolate, then it happened again!!

Also, last time I went to the pharmacy, I sat there for about five minutes while the pharmacists were gossiping about who worked there last and cleaned. Someone else was waiting for them in the pick up window. There were four pharmacists.. I get that they have other jobs to do.. but it was maybe 5:30-6:00 and they were closing out even though they don’t close until like 8, so they had no reason to be ignoring the customers at that point.

They haven’t had my medicine for weeks either, which I didn’t rate them poorly for because that’s beyond their control, but it’s still upsetting.

The reason they got the two stars they did is because their cashiers and stockers are absolutely amazing. They are very sweet and have never been anything but helpful and kind. The hey are the reason I’ve gone back after a poor experience with the pharmacy or products. So...

I have an upcoming surgery to correct a herniated disc in my neck. While I wait the doctor has prescribed me pain meds and upped the dosage a couple of times resulting in multiple trips to the pharmacy. Aside from the first one they have all resulted in me making multiple trips for a single prescription after Grant, and some other little guy with glasses refused to fill them before calling the doctors office. I can see doing that once, but this everytime stuff has gotten old. Now we're within couple days of the surgery and my doctor sends me back for one more prescription to deal with the pain from the surgery itself while I recover. He proceeds to treat my wife like she's some sort of drug addict (I asked her to go because I was hurting and didn't want to drive), and even accused her of bringing in a copy of a prescription as if it weren't real. We're probably going to continue this round of prescriptions with Walgreens just because the doctor already has them on file and I'll need it, but we're definitely changing...
