First off, the restaurant and food was great. We dined in twice but won’t be going back for a third. We like our food spicy, so during our first experience we ordered some chili paste with our pho/dinner, along with the siracha. We added the chili paste to our Pho and I guess it was an amazing feat because both waitresses and the chef came out of the kitchen to comment on our food throughout our dinner. The comments weren’t rude at the time, just “joking” about how spicy it looked. I finished my pho and my wife took the rest of hers to go after eating half. We didn’t think nothing of the commentary.
During our second dine in experience, we asked for the same chili flakes because even though it was spicy, it was good/enjoyable. The same waitress we had from the first time, told us that we couldn’t have the chili paste again, even if we paid extra for it - due to the uncle (chef) saying the chili paste “messes with the flavor of his broth”. The broth IS NOT flavorful enough to me and the siracha is not spicy to me, so it’s not what I generally want. Anyways, we will not be going back, as I enjoy my pho with the chili paste they refuse to serve, because it “messes with...
Read moreMy dad and I have lunch here once a week, and it is consistently AMAZING! We always start off with a shared order of edamame, and sometimes the crab Rangoons... (Highly recommend!!!) For my main entrée, I typically order one of a few of their signature rolls (Never Let Go Roll, Ole Miss Roll, Titanic Roll, Black Pearl Roll, etc.), or a Bento Box (Shrimp Tempura, Chicken Katsu, or Teriyaki Chicken) and a Miso soup on the side. Whatever it is, it is always prepared fresh and served hot! The portions are incredibly generous, and I have yet to leave without a to-go box... which they know, and will considerately offer me one halfway through my meal. LOL. My dad usually requests two orders of the fresh salmon nigiri with a cucumber and ginger salad on the side, or an order of the beef pho. The menu is filled with delicious options and is perfect for when I'm wanting to switch things up and try something new-- because I know it's going to be something I'll love! The service AND staff are incredible, the tables and bathroom are always clean, and the hospitality is undeniable. If you're looking for a new place to try, I would certainly give...
Read moreWe were staying overnight in the area and wanted something good to eat. We went here based on reviews. When we pulled up, we were a little skeptical...not gonna lie. The parking lot was near empty, there were 4 other people eating in, and the restaurant next door was booming. Walked in and the staff was SOOOO friendly. The sushi was amazing, the salads were fresh and delicious, calamari (a touch oily but it is fried food sooo...) was yummy, miso was flavorful and on point, the PHO was AHmazing and I don't eat PHO normally. My husband loves PHO and has eaten it in various places, including NYC. He was very impressed. Needless to say, there were NO leftovers. If ever in the area we would definitely eat at Hatsukoi again. Service was truly amazing. I mean you don't find this kind of genuine joy in restaurant staff very often. Thank you all!!! To give an idea of prices it was around $70 for 4 of us to eat appetizers, rolls, and PHO. Not awful for what it was! Go try it. Cucumber wrapped...
