Stephanie, Mandy, and Eve at Ace Hardware in Ocean Springs truly put service above self. I came in while they were slammed with a line of customers on the Fourth of July weekend, and I needed help with getting a pair of glasses from the Costa case. Without pause, Mandy went back and forth from the register and the display to let me try on different pairs of glasses until I finally settled on one. Stephanie then checked me out with nothing but a smile on her face amidst the chaos, and was even very knowledgeable and resourceful when answering my questions about the return policy. Shortly after my purchase, I found a better deal online for the same pair of glasses and begrudgingly walked back into the store to ask for help with a return. Eve didn’t hesitate to help me, and made the return process extremely quick and easy. They were all very understanding, even with the immense amount of time I had just taken from them considering the sheer number of other customers that they had to service. Employees a company like Ace Hardware could only ever dream of, thank you so much for hiring only the best....

What makes this hardware store extremely special is honestly because y’all have James, he’s the very best. He is super knowledgeable and helpful and just all around a great person. I’ve never known him to be anything but helpful even when y’all are out of stock on something or when you don’t carry something, this guy knows his stuff and is always a good resource. Now, who y’all need to lose is Barry Wilson, an employee that works there that is incredibly rude and clearly doesn’t find any importance in his job. He was one of the worst customer service interactions I’ve had. Made threats, spoke down of other employees to me, was smoking a cigarette while filling up a bucket of chlorine while on the clock and talking about how everything he does relates back to his construction experience and what he should and shouldn’t do. Just such a poor representation of a place that honestly...

The staff is always very helpful and quite knowledgeable in home improvement, unlike a lot of places nowadays. I am a woman who left the store late one evening close to dark, proceeded to crank my vehicle and it would Not crank. My Husband was out of town and I did not know what to do and really did not want to call for a tow truck since it was so close to dark. I went back into the store and 2 employees came out to help me get it started. They made me feel safe and went above and beyond to assist me. So thank you for that!!!

My only con is that I wished they stayed open longer in the evenings like the big box stores. My Husband and I like eating at the Chinese restaurant over by them for dinner and they are often closed by the time we finish eating...so we have to drive all the way to Gautier for home improvement items and would prefer to spend our money...
