I’m Travis, and I’m the person who rented out a showcase here. Ordinarily I would leave a good review for a place known for exemplary customer experiences here. This just isn’t one of those reviews.
The owner uses vindictive and disrespectful tactics to intimidate those who pay to have her as a secondary revenue stream. And wants to persuade those who are unsure about how she conducts business that she is doing the right thing at all times. If you plan on trying to make this your next business venture be aware. You will find going down that road is riddled with hang ups, lack of understanding, missing or stolen items, rules and agreements changed without your knowledge. All of which should make you think twice about trying to do it.
(In response to Maggie the owners comments: I was never asked to leave but once I let the store and it’s owner know thousands of dollars of inventory simply went missing. She will slander anyones name to further her profits. Once I let them know I was leaving due to lack of honesty and all of the sudden I was told a 30 day notice had to be given it was like an invitation to all all those who handled merchandise which led to thousands of dollars of my items turning up missing...
Read moreI am deeply disheartened by the distressing experience my niece and her boyfriend endured here at Oceanside Antiques and Collectibles on 02/18/24. The blatant racism displayed by the workers, evident in their unwarranted surveillance and unwelcome scrutiny, is utterly unacceptable. My niece and her boyfriend were being followed by employees as they shopped and were asked if they’d like to place any items they would hold at the front of the store. It is disappointing that shoppers should ever be targeted based solely on their appearance. It is disappointing that in this day and age, individuals are subjected to such discrimination while trying to engage in the simple act of shopping. The pervasive sense of discomfort and targeting they felt is a testament to the toxic environment cultivated by the shop's employees. It is imperative that the shop's management take immediate action to address this egregious behavior and implement measures to prevent its recurrence. No one should have to endure such treatment, and it is incumbent upon the shop to enact meaningful change to ensure that all customers are treated with dignity...

One elderly women said they were give aways for unruly kids for free. I said I’m willing to pay. She said ok for three dollars. I was happy. Then a group of employees jumped in and said Rudely they’re for kids not wanting for me to purchase. I will state I’m Hispanic and I know they did not want me or my sister. They were all white and they did not want my three dollars or me there. So I placed the toy back and walked out. Don’t shop there. The main woman who was the loudest and wanted me out I was told is the owner. No matter what color I am. My money is green. I’m now looking at other post. They are...
