Things to consider before "saving money" with Boyles.

I have purchased 4 appliances from Boyles. 3/4 of the delivery/installations have been bad experiences.

First we ordered a microwave it was installed incorrectly and now when we open the door the whole microwave moves and feels like it's going to fall off.

Next we purchased a Bosch dishwasher and all went well.

Next we purchased a dryer. After installation I found 3 broken canning jars which they just left on the ground and didn't tell us.

Finally purchased a dishwasher because the one we originally purchased broke after only 3 years. The installation was scheduled for a week and 3 days after we purchased. We got a day and time frame of 4pm to 7pm. We had no communication anywhere in between. Finally at 7:20 my wife called the delivery person and no answer. He finally called at 8:30 to let us know he was in Brigham and would be 45 minutes no apology. And if we wanted to still have it delivered or the next day in the morning. We wanted it over with so we said to just come. He finally arrived and 9:40pm and found that the appliance was smashed and would have to come back. Be asked if we wanted him to haul out old one away that night or the next day.which we paid for. We chose the same day. Be looked at it and just said nah I'll just do it tomorrow. He then asked both my wife and I what time the next day would work he said either the morning or afternoon. We said morning and he said he'd see what his day looked like and call in the morning. Today it was 12:30 and no call. We called Boyles and they let us know that the delivery guy had a Drs appointment at 11am. The lady on the phone didn't try to reschedule or refund the delivery cost. My wife finally just expressed her dissatisfaction with the customer service and no apology or remediation offered. Finally they just said we can give you your money back. Again no apology or attempt to salvage the business we'd given them for years.

I finally took the phone and spoke to the lady letting her know that the previous delivery had been terrible also and they had left broken glass on the ground when we have little kids and a 9-month-old they did not seem worried and said that they would just return our money. No way of or attempt to get somebody out to deliver it as soon as possible or refund our delivery and installation costs. Finally, an apology that was given really nonchalantly. I let her know that I would like to speak to someone that had more authority at the company to resolve the matter. She then hung up on me. I called back and an older lady answered the phone. She was very sassy and unapologetic. I let her know that it had been over a week that we had been waiting and she said oh really a whole week like it wasn't a big deal. She was sarcastic and not friendly and not professional. I then got upset and raised my voice to them because I had lost all hope of ever getting any sort of good customer service from them. I was frustrated because we had given them several chances and thousands of our dollars and they couldn't care less if they lost us as a customer. I strongly urge that you pay a little bit extra in delivery, installation and hallway cost then have to deal with these people. It is very sad and concerning that they have no feelings or emotions or any worry that they will lose a customer. I am sad that We did not get the service that we paid for. We now have to look for another company to buy from and we are out of luck. I have also contacted get get part and I have contacted the better Business bureau. We were very excited to shop here seeing so many people seemed to have had such positive experiences, unfortunately that wasn’t the same for us. If you decide to go to Boyles two things we would advise against. 1: DO NOT WORK WITH LINDA! 2: Do not order anything especially if you are told it will only take a week to get there, only buy from their physical inventory. We went in purchase a washer and dryer for our first house. After looking for a few minutes we were approached by Linda who seemed less than enthused to help us, when we asked pretty general questions, she was very vague acted a little put out, she had to read most of the hang tags to give us any info. It was not until we explained that we needed to purchase a unit that day that her attitude and enthusiasm changed. Was told the color option we wanted would arrive by the end of the week, that later turned into three weeks of no follow up on her end for our washer, and three weeks after that we got our dryer. Which since we didn’t even have a unit to get us by was concerning. Steve did offer us a loaner until our arrived or a discount on an upgrade, but since he said it would arrive by next week and we already spent more than we originally wanted we opted to wait. Got a call to confirm our delivery for the next day, when I asked if that meant our units had arrived I got a very “well duh” type of response. Was told to expect them around 9-9:30 am. 11:30 we got our first ever call from Linda who says that only our washer had arrived and that the delivery crew will need to come back to set us up with a loaner dryer. She was very quick to get me off the phone. Since she had said it would be another 1-2 hours and we were headed out of town we tried to set up delivery for the following Monday. After expressing concern about everything and asking why she never gave us follow up calls after she said she would) she told us that she does not have the time to call thousands of people every day. It became pretty clear that once we left the store and spent our money we were no longer of her concern. She then proceeds to tell us that we are ungrateful and had caused a lot of inconvenience for them since they do not offer loaner units when waiting for orders to arrive, she then says that we should no longer shop with them and she will cancel the delivery and issue us a refund and hangs up the phone. We called back to make sure a washer and dryer of some sort to be delivered that Monday which in hind sight we should have just gone elsewhere. Three weeks later I get a call saying the dryer has arrived, but they seemed to make it a point to let us know that only one had arrived and that five other people were waiting for theirs but that they decided we should get it first, acting as if they were going above and beyond for us, which after a month and a half of being told it would arrive within the week to begin with seemed kind of weird. The only saving grace is that they have a good selection and competitive pricing, the delivery guys were quick, friendly and professional. We really did appreciate the owner for trying to remedy the situation in some way which is the only reason they get 2 stars...

My experience buying new appliances for my new home is beyond disappointing. We shopped on black Friday and picked out two stoves, fridge and dishwasher. We spent a significant amount of money, close to 10k. Our build wouldn't be ready for appliances for months and we explained that, they stated no problem they could store them if needed. That following July I received a phone call from them saying the stoves I picked were discontinued and they needed to call around to see if anyone had any in stock or I needed to upgrade to the new one $300 more per stove, all because they didn't order them in November. They said we had to make our decision that day to get the 4th of July pricing which is supposed to be the same as black Friday. In addition to me having to pay more the new stoves wouldn't even be in production until October and I would probably have to have loaners. I paid more and waited. My builder set up a delivery date (December) the week before the date. The delivery date came, and no one showed up. I called and they stated that they didn't have any of our appliances and they wouldn't until March. I explained we set up this delivery last week for today which they were a part of and I purchased everything a year ago and was moving in the next week. After several calls they figured out that they had the dishwasher in Ogden but the fridge was in Salt Lake and the stoves wouldn't be here until end of January. They finally delivered, two days late, the fridge and dishwasher and loaner stoves. January came and still no stoves and when I went to the store upset I was treated as if this was my fault because I ordered my appliances so early that "they couldn't store them that long" I explained that was their offer and we told them we would store them if needed. I was also told that the date now was March but these dates sometimes move to sooner almost never are delayed, I said it had already been delayed twice. March finally comes and I'm calling. March 14th they tell me they are "in transit" but don't know where. On March 30th they were finally delivered. A few months later the one stove quit working. We called to get it repaired under warranty and that process took over 2 months. Good thing I had 2. Throughout the entire ordeal every person I dealt with was unapologetic. In addition they try really hard to push LG appliances because they get rebates. While pushing LG several times they disparaged other brands and their customer service, especially whirlpool who makes the kitchenaid appliances I purchased.
