Greek Garden — Restaurant in Ogden

We tried the small Greek salad here because the restaurant was well rated, we love Greek salad, we wanted a salad lunch, but we found no reviews that discussed it. The salad came in a long, deep rectangular styrofoam tray we hadn’t seen before. The salad was a village style Greek salad on a thick bed of lettuce. The small salad seems to have a numerical formula: three thick angle-cut ellipses of cucumber, three slices of tomato, and three kalmata olives, plus one tasty green chile (not a bell pepper, but more like a small poblano) and a generous pile of onion slices with a just-right portion of balsamic dressing with powdered oregano mixed in and chunks of feta cheese. A respectable village salad that made a nice tasty lunch for each of us. Atmosphere - well, it’s not the bustling market square in Metropolis, it is a food court in a somewhat tired old mall. Thought I'd give this place a go because it is the highest rated Greek place around. I had high expectations because of this. Hmmm... Not sure where else alot of you have had Greek food but this one isn't very good in my opinion. It pretty much fits right in as "mall food", in my opinion.

I got the gyro plate and a side of dolmates.

The serving of gyro meat was pretty generous, so I was excited about that BUT themeat was suuuuuuuper salty, to the point where I didn't want to eat it. It was just bitter and had left my tongue feeling like it was burning. The rice was pretty dry and didn't have alot of flavor. The dolmates were... Ok... Not good, not bad.

One of my favorite Greek places in ogden, the food is so delicious and hot everytime! The prices are very expensive but the food is legit so I get it. I just wish they had an actual restaurant here and not in the mall because whenever I'm there I'm starred down by random creepy old men sitting at empty tables and it makes eating uncomfortable...

I always get the 1 Chicken Soulvaki stick and the rice, My husband gets a Gyro with rice and for both of us with drinks its usually $32 plus tax so...
