0n 5/13/23 I took my family to dinner at this location. It was mostly a poor experience from start to finish. We had used the "Wait List Feature" and arrived just before our appointed time of 7:30 PM. The host greeted us warmly and stated that we were at the top of the list for seating. She told us they would have seating ready for us in 3 minutes. We moved over to the waiting area and watched for over 20 minutes as other groups of four were seated before us. I asked my fiancée, who happened to be looking over the hosts shoulder when we checked in, if we were indeed first on the list and she confirmed that we were. I went to the host and complained and was told she had forgotten to call us. We were seated next. Our waiter was friendly and seemed to be very efficient. He took our orders and brought us drinks and bread on a cutting board, less a cutting utensil. In approximately twenty minutes the food was brought out by three servers, different than the waiter who had been working the location where we were seated. By then our water glasses and the children's (who had ordered off the regular menu) drink glasses were empty. We asked for refills on water and lemonade plus ketchup and A-1 sauce as condiments, since there was only salt and pepper on the table. I also noted with my meal I had ordered a fully loaded baked potato, which had not been brought out. We waited for approximately fifteen to twenty minutes before any service people came in our direction. At this time our original waiter came to deliver food to the table behind ours. We were able to get his attention and told him of our situation. He immediately brought us fresh water and drink refills, as well as A-1 sauce and ketchup. After a few minutes additional time, the potato which had obviously been on the warmer for a considerable amount of time, was delivered. The food, save the potato was acceptable, but other than the asparagus, was not of note. My partner had ordered steak and lobster, which was both cooked and served with salted butter. Generally unsalted butter is used to brush on the lobster and then a portion of melted salted butter is served with the meal. We left a 15% tip, which was much less than our usual, in hopes that the money would reach our waiter and not be split with others. I normally carry cash, so when a situation where a sole employee stands out I can reward them separately, but unfortunately failed to do so this time. At-any-rate, our original waiter did his best late in the meal to make up for what was much less than satisfactory service. Based upon our situation we rate this steakhouse with one star and will not be going back. While our experience may have been the exception we would recommend when looking for a mid-ranged priced steakhouse that you pass this location by. There are numerous other steakhouses close by and in future visits to Ogden our vehicle may be found in one of their...
Read moreI gave a 3 âïž because the food was delicious. But service, was lacking. Checked in and was told 25 minutes. 45 minutes later, we asked how much longer. They said we were next, sorry for the long wait, and offered a business card with a free appetizer on it. We sat down and the server came to get our drink and appetizer order. We showed them the free offer. He denied it because we got it that day and we needed to use it next time. Then husband asked if they had prime rib and the server went on a 3 minute rant on how the restaurant is too large to offer prime rib. Umm, hello, just say no. The server brought bread and our drinks. When he sat the bread plates down, he noticed crumbs on the plates, and âkindlyâ mentioned he saw that and âgraciouslyâ wiped the crumbs off the plate with his bare hands. My husband asked for a Caesar salad with ranch instead of Caesar dressing. This confused him. So, my husband said a plain salad with Parmesan cheese, crotons and ranch dressing. They brought out a tossed Caesar salad with Caesar dressing and a side of ranch dressing. At the same time as being served the salad, the main course came out. The server came over right after and asked how the steak was cooked and tasted. I looked at him, and said, Iâll let you know when I take a bite. I would like to enjoy my salad first, thank you. Meanwhile, my steak is getting cold. Salad and your main course, should not be delivered at the same time. Thatâs just my thoughts, anyways. He came back a little later and asked how it tasted again, I said hold on, let me take a bite real quick. The steak was almost a perfect medium. I ordered medium rare. But, thatâs what happens when your steak rests too long. The food was flavorful, heavy on the pepper crust. But, I like pepper. We also had a baked potato, and the shrimp/lobster chowder. I had the garden salad. And of course, the bread.
We left the free appetizer card, as we wonât be coming back...
Read moreOne of the worst dining out experiences I've ever had. We live paycheck to paycheck like most Americans these days and went out to celebrate with my son who's 13, My husband, and our baby who is 9 months old. We went out to enjoy an expensive dinner and expected the same quality as the amount they were charging for it. Absolute worst experience, after our waiter took our order we never saw him again, someone else dropped off our food and no one ever came back to ask if we had everything. We all ordered filet mignon and lobster and we're pretty amazed when none of the temperatures on the steak were correct and all of the seafood including shrimp my husband ordered were cold and I mean ice cold!! When we kindly tried to bring it to the manager's attention she was extremely rude, biased, and quite frankly she came off pretty racist. Kept telling my husband that he didn't know what a medium well steak was that a medium well steak has a little bit of pink left which we all were staring at the same steak and it was brown all the way through so we were just staring at her confused. They offered to remake everything but at that point we were pretty pissed especially after we had to argue our point, whatever happened to the customer's right? Feel free to take a bite next time, otherwise just take my word for it. We asked to see the manager again before we left and she was too scared or just did not care enough to come out and talk to us even though we could see her looking directly at us. Dottie was the manager's name that we had to get from another employee, I will be following up in the morning with corporate and I will keep going until I am heard. I'm tired of being taken advantage of over and over, expected to pay $200 for a meal, treated like dirt, and then expected to eat whatever we were served whether it was quality or not. I'm done, for now. Don't waste your...
