I just wanted to say I stop in this store every time I come down to Slc for an appointment, or any other reason that may bring me down that way and I have never had such a wonderful experience as I did this last weekend. Usually I walk through the store and am unnoticed, however this last weekend on my way home I stopped in on my way to See’s candies and met one of the kindest, helpful, girl named Opal who I got the pleasure of meeting when I was checking out to pay for my items. She went above and beyond with her kindness, and willingness to help me, a stranger just stopping through the store, not knowing anything that was going on in my life, or how I was feeling, and she genuinely took the time to answer my questions, talk to me, and treat me with such kindness, something that is very rare these days. It seems as though we live in a world where everybody is just thinking about themselves and don’t have the time or desire to make it a point to not only do their job but genuinely care about a stranger and talk to them like they have known you forever. Opal is an amazing, kind, woman who took the time to help out a struggling single mom going through things nobody knows about or can see by looking at me and didn’t treat me like I was just another stranger to check out while doing her job. She is an asset to your store and is genuine. Thank you so much Opal for going above and beyond and giving me a glimmer of hope that genuine, kind, caring people do still exist in this world and care about their well-being. Thank you so much Opal, I feel like I have acquired a new life-long friend. Thank you for taking the time and going above and beyond in all aspects. You are amazing and deserve to be recognized for your kindness, compassion and willingness to help me in so many ways not only customer service wise but also remind me that there are still genuine people out there who are willing to go above and beyond because that’s how you are, not because you are at work and it’s your “job”. Thank you for giving me that glimmer of hope that things might just work out and aren’t as overwhelming and complicated as they seem. Thank you for your kindness and for being genuine. You are an asset to the Quilted Bear and I honestly in the dozen times I’ve been there are the only employee that even bothered to acknowledge me. Keep up that genuine, compassionate, sweet attitude as I sure do appreciate you. This was the best experience I’ve had as a long time customer. Keep shining and know that you gave this struggling mom a glimmer of...
Read moreSticker selection is amazing, could look for hours. LGBTQIA stickers were suuuuuper cute & they have some other categories like cultural diversity- had some Hispanic/Latino & African American cultural stickers that I got. We love a melanin queen. Stuffed animal selection, home decor, halloween decor is seriously unmatched. The lego selection is amazing too, beware you’ll get lost. Opal manages the legos, or I guess they’re called mini figures.. anyways, was super helpful in helping me find the characters I wanted and even checked the back and found all the ones I needed for my sons birthday. She was knowledgeable about the products in the store and provided customer service that you don’t see often. She informed me that some of the items I bought were actually from vendors that run their own individual locally owned businesses. Apparently there’s a rewards program that gives you a $20 gift card for every $300 you spend? A liiiiiittle annoyed that I haven’t been told about this, she said it’s been around for a while 🫠 I’ve spent so much money here and didn’t know about the small businesses or the rewards. She told me a review would help those small businesses get more awareness out there and I’m all about supporting small business. Recommended to mention my favorite vendors. B&C Wax melts are better than any others I’ve had and are homemade by a vendor. I buy them religiously! Rocket & dash sell quirky novelty earrings and Halloween themed earrings along with some other booths that don’t have their business name listed, which they should! OH y’all! Those drain fidgets we’ve all seen that are different colors and come in mystery eggs… the ones one of the vendors makes have different colors but also different THEMES and textures and they’re the most well made ones I’ve seen literally anywhere. Fantasy Pets is their business name I think 🤔 Saw a new booth that sells freeze dried candy and snagged some of those. You section is great, my kids love it. Love the warmies (stuffed animals that are microwaveable and freezable like a rice bag but super cute stuffed animal) selection is huge. They have those wooden angel things. I forget what they’re called but my mom collects em and I think they’re popular! Hmmm Harry Potter merch is pretty good. Ok that’s all I got...
