I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN! I would love to be able to tell you how the food tasted, but after being told multiple times "future reference we stopped making food at 830" I asked for my money back, $60 order, and left! Not once when we walked in nor when we were ordering our to-go order were we told they were no longer taking orders; in fact the only thing that was said was that were out of a few things like mando. Only after we ordered did the cook or manager come from the back and tell me "For future reference we turned off our fryer at 8." He then went back to the back. I told the cashier I had never been there before and had been in the area and stopped. She then said, " ok, well for future reference we stop taking orders at 830." During this time I could over hear the cook saying things in the background. At that point I had enough and it was clear to me if was not safe to have this person preparing my family's food and asked for a refund. When I went back up and told the cashier, " I would liken a refund, I'm a customer I don't work here, how am I supposed to know any of this?" She then said, "well for future reference we stop making food at 830." This coming from the person that took my order, answered all my questions, greeted us when we walked in, and asked us if we ever been there before! Before we even ordered these workers has plenty of time to say they weren't taking new orders! I told her, "It doesn't matter we won't be back, just give me back my money and keep your food. At this point I don't trust that man making my food anyways." She went to the back to tell him I wanted a refund. I could over hear him complaining to her and telling her she shouldnt be taking any new oders anyways after 8. The man from earlier then came back upfront huffing and making annoyed noises and said, "well we turned our fryer at 8 and shouldn't be taking any new orders." I then said, "How would I know this, I don't work here? Just give me my money back." The cashier then completed the refund after he walked away and apologized. During this time there was another person in line behind us as well, nothing was said to him during this time either. I guess he was to assume this applied to him as well since he was in line. Only when he came up to the register to order did the cashier tell him they weren't taking any new orders. Clearly this place isn't interested in making new or keeping customers! I have a solution for this business if you aren't going to take orders after 8 or 830 left customers know when they walk in, not after they have placed their orders! Better yet put up a sign on your door that says no new orders after 8 or order pick...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHappy to say my last experience was a one off and after several return visits I feel my beloved cupbop has more than redeemed ..... and I am happy to bump the stars in my 3rd review to 5 happy stars!! I really do love Cupbop! š¤©
Y'all I am literally so bummed right now.... I went in to my favorite cupbop today on Penn and 144th and was surprised to not see anyone that I recognized as I'm in here multiple times a week since it's so close to where I work... it's usually so quick and delicious. So 3 new people are here so I ask for 2 kid cup bops and 3 corndogs... Literally had to repeat 5 times which is no biggie except the total was thirty dollars. At the moment I'm shocked at the total he proceeds to train another new person and tell them that they can't accept cash because of something going on with the register so I'm like uh yoohoo...all I have is cash. He says okay takes my money...so I run to the restroom while my corndogs are cooking and I'm thinking why was that so expensive so I come out and ask for my receipt. He then tells me that he can't get me one, has to call his manager to once again tell me he can't give me a receipt. Then I look down and my kids cups are literally only 1/3 of a cup...like they are NOT EVEN HALF WAY FILLED. So I said wow this isn't even a full cup. He says oh I can add some to it for you. Um no... I mean why would I want some rice added to the top. So yea I just spent 30 dollars on 2 kid cups and some corndogs. I'm pissed. I don't want free mandoo man ....I have no receipt and now I've spent my entire weeks' lunch $ but I'm still hungry. Super disappointed š and sad š„¹
I am totally obsessed with this place!! The food is absolutely fantastic and I literally come in at least once a week and sometimes even more! Yesterday I had the chance to bring my family to try it; the team that was working was super friendly, as usual, and even my 2 year was a fan!! I want to shout out to Caleb for always making me feel welcome, making awesome suggestions, and for making our visit a great one!! I'm sure I'll be back next week or maybe even later this week! Ha! Yes it really is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I had a choice I would give it 0 stars. We came here since it had such good reviews but to our disappointment it wasnāt close to being what everyone online raved about. I rarely leave reviews but itās so bad I just had to. We were the ONLY customer there at the time. There were tables that were dirty and trash/food on the ground. The young lady at the register wasnāt very friendly. I told her this was our first time if she can help out and she just said you can choose whatever is on the menu literally just staring at me without saying anything. We ordered a kids bop, a combo bop and 2 Korean corn dogs 1 regular and 1 mozzarella. The cupbop tasted mediocre but the Korean corn dogs were a real miss. They also messed up on the order and gave us a half chz half dog when we ordered just the hotdog one. When we asked her which Korean corn dog was this she said it was the half and half and said thatās what we ordered so I told her we actually ordered just the regular hotdog. She then said well I can make you another one but my husband said itās fine. Well we made a mistake and should have taken that offer because the mozzarella cheese was still cold and not melted all the way. When my sonās mozzarella corn dog came out it was worse. Nearly 1/3 of the mozzadog still had a block of cold cheese in it. When I went up to let them know she said ok what do you want to do? Do you want another one? So I told her no and mentioned that our other corn dog was cold too but my husband just ate it anyway. She turned around and asked her coworker something before going to the back to grab someone to refund us. She was extremely oblivious to the situation and didnāt seem to really care. The guy who came out from the back refunded us for the mozzarella corn dog and apologized. We feel like itās such a great concept but think there is a real lack of management based on the way the restaurant is kept uncleaned and the way the employee(s) lack of customer service is...
