Von Maur — Local services in Oklahoma City

I had high hopes upon entering a Von Maur store for the first time. As the only one in our area and recently installed it was an exciting prospect! This visit to the mall I was on the hunt for a very specific and hard to find item- a black velvet neck tie. Every other store had bow ties but not neck ties. Upon entering I got the impression it was somewhere between a Macys and a Nordstrom. Borderline wannabe Saks, but upscale enough nonetheless that I was sure I would find what I was searching for. Now, while I didnt find that tie I wanted, that is not why they get a poor rating. They would have gotten a 5 star rating whether or not they had my hard to find item, if their associates had been any less of an utter joke! Of the two employees I enlisted to help me in the mens department, NEITHER knew what velvet was. The girl just looked at the young man associate without saying a word to me because she was completely at a loss to figure out what I meant by "velvet neck tie", and after a second of thought he actually asked "velvet? Is that the shiny or fuzzy stuff?". "Am I being punk'd right now?!?" I thought. I had to inform the man it was indeed the fuzzy stuff, which he admitted they dont have. Then they just walked off together. That was it! If you look like an upscale store and have sales associates that poorly trained in social skills and basic fashion know how (someone tell me I am not the only one in the world who knows what velvet is??) I have no busness wasting my time or money in your store. I am perfectly happy with Dillards. Dont go here you are not missing anything...

A high end shopping experience. You will find in Von Maur: Dress, casual dress, bridal, evening gowns, teen, bathing suits, shoes, cosmetics etc.. A single blouse can cost upwards of $135.00 or more. The clothing fits very well though and unique. If you are a person of a select taste, style, and like fitted clothing, then this might be the store for you. Please note there are sale racks, but many items never make it to the clearance section. Also, be aware that many items are dry clean or hand wash only. Check the tags. They will shink in a dryer so be careful. Especially all stretchy jeans and clothing are at risk. If you are unsure how to pick out clothing for yourself, the staff will help dress you. There is a 90 day return policy. It is advised to know how much you want to spend before walking...

I really like the store. The employee was very nice that I came in contact with. I needed to use the Restroom and she showed me. Its called the "Women Lounge", its a beautiful place. I'm kinda picky when it comes to restrooms. I figured it would be nice but when I went in I felt like a "Vegas Style Restroom". Its really nice!! I am Buc-cee's fan and their restrooms are hard to beat but VON MAUR is running neck and neck with Buc-cee's. The only thing Buc-cee's have and they don't is attendances. The Women's Lounge is a great place. You have to check it out. Update: 8/3/2022 Its still the nice and still favorite restrooms and could just hang out there. It was nice and cool in the store.
