From the moment I pulled up, I knew this was going to be different. I travel quite extensively in my career, exclusively with IHG properties, so I am used to a certain look and feel which this departs radically from. I am often disappointed in the parking arrangements at the hotels I visit, not the case here. More than ample parking surrounds this crisp property which allowed me great access even coming back to the property during parking "prime time". It is impossible for me to fully elaborate the differences this property offers, simply put it is an exceptionally crisp concept and this property is pulling it off flawlessly. I encountered a friendly and knowledgeable staff in a roomy and welcoming lobby, a lobby that almost begged me to come down from the room and sit and do some business in it due to the inviting nature. So many unique touches, from the disposable (read: you KNOW they are CLEAN) ice buckets available to the bean-to-cup coffee offered. This might be the only thing I would like to see though: while the coffee is fantastic, it is an expectation to have coffee in the room and I have grown very fond of my AM coffee pods at the other IHG concepts. I thoroughly enjoyed the TV in the room which made it quite easy and intuitive to "cast" content from my phone to view. Great touch! Prior to my stay I read some reviews on the world-class quality of the mattresses and I am able to assure you these are the finest mattresses I have EVER laid upon, hotel or otherwise. Some business travelers may find the room somewhat small for multi-night stays but the room is more than ample and I found it cozy, not a challenge to "fit in" however for more than 2 nights this room size would not be my choice. I could really go on and on, I was so pleased with this AVID concept and how well the staff on hand were operating their hotel. I fully recommend this hotel and am confident you will agree with me. Great hotel. Reception and area was great. This place is very modern and inviting. It had me subliminally at ease. Very clean, great colors, and well-thoughtout.

The room was clean and airy. Again, I felt very at ease and didn't have the hotel creepies that I usually get when I stay at a place.

The room was spacious enough and had everything I needed except an ironing board. But the iron was much nicer than most hotel irons.

The bed was huge and fluffy. Lots of pillows. Clean! The whole room felt brand new and clean. Did I mention it was clean? The bathroom was really nice and spacious. Had everything I needed. I liked the soap/lotion dispensers. Upgraded.

There was a breakfast area that was in-between. But that was alright with me because at this price point, I felt it was more than enough and more than most. The breakfast area offered cereal, milk, coffee, juice, fruit, bagels, nutrigrain bars, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, and lots of condiments. While wasn't a hot breafast (though there was a toaster and microwave), it was more than enough for us. And the area was comfortable and inviting.

This place was very affordable and seems well above its 2 star status. I would definitely stay here again. And I will seek the Avid brand whenever I travel. It's a good mix of anenities at a great price point. Very well thoughtout hotel. Even the modern and attractive non-slip flooring caught my attention. Some places, the floor is slippery when wet. Not here, the flooring had a perfect balance of sleek, eveness but had a slight texture so you could walk and be sure-footed. And I could tell if the floor was mopped, no residue would be left in the textured flooring. It would mop clean. High tech! Just judging by the thoughtfulness of such a small detail leads me to believe this is a good, modern brand. Kudos to the developers, hotel manager and staff. Keep up the good work to all. First off, I want to start off by saying that the staff was amazing. They did all they could to make out stay enjoyable. The reason I only gave 3 stars had nothing to do with the staff. To start off we had to move rooms due to an issue that was beyond their control. They were accommodating and put us in an exact type room as I had reserved. The reasons are listed below: The rooms are incredibly small. I don't know if it is the layout or furniture but it feels very narrow... especially for the price. The shower is spacious once you are in, however, the doorway in is very narrow. The bathrooms themselves are great. The room was advertised as having a fridge, microwave, HDMI hookup on the TV, coffee maker, and your bathroom essentials. It had the essentials and a fridge. The fridge was a mini fridge and would not hold more than a 12 pack of pops. I had to get the mini waters because it wouldn't hold the regular sized bottles. It didn't have a thermostat to control the temp inside the fridge either...which was not ideal but it was only for 2 days. I like my water very cold but I survived lol. There was not microwave or coffee maker, except downstairs in the lounge. There was also no HDMI hookup on the TV. We always take our Switch to play and that didn't happen. My son was disappointed. While we were accomodated for the inconvenience of the first room having issues the other issues seemed to be not a concern. Like I prefaced these aren't issues the staff could have dealt with prior if they didn't know. I talked to another guest that said they had the same issues...other than they had HDMI connections. For the price that I paid I would have stayed elsewhere and gotten every amenity that was promised. I was trying a new place and was not overly impressed so we won't...
