Darling Flowers may be OK for simple flower arrangements but I would not suggest using them for big events. I used them for my wedding and was completely disappointed. I had a healthy flower budget and the owner, Wayne Darling, seemed easy and fun to work with. Turns out, he is a liar and manipulated the paperwork by being very detailed in our conversations yet very vague in the paperwork. His vagueness in the contract left a lot of room for argument after the wedding. For example, during our consultations, he discussed "greenery" as Spanish Moss but at my wedding, he used greenery from his backyard--he literally used tree branches and leaves. It looked terrible. The day before the wedding, my mother stopped by his shop to check on everything and he purposefully showed her beautiful arrangements that never made their way to the wedding and he left my wedding cake bare after I paid for flowers for the cake. The photos look terrible and I was most excited about our cake but when I saw it at the reception, I was so embarrassed and so sad. So sad, I called him several times during the reception and he hung up on me every time, so needless to say I was upset during my reception. Now, he will not return any of my calls or emails. He has zero business integrity and he doesn't take responsibly for his customer's experience. I have never placed a poor review for any company in my life, so I am not over reacting. I simply do not want any bride to experience the disappointment I experienced on my wedding day. Everything but the flowers were perfect. on my big day. In short, he is not a stand up guy and he will lie to you and take advantage of you when he is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn a day and time where customer service is questionable and good customer service rare⦠I am always excited to receive great customer service. There were several florist in the area near the address I needed a delivery sent. After reviewing all the florist websites, products, and pricingā¦. I chose to contact Darling Flowers.
My conversation with the owner quickly became familiar and comfortable like catching-up with an old family friend. Their interest in my family event was genuine and moving. I was assured the arrangement would be fresh as they were going to market to pick up inventory that morning. I was asked if I would like my āreal time delivery photoā sent to my phone or email. They take a photo of the arrangement when they arrive at the delivery destination and send it to you. What a concept! Not only do you know that your order arrived⦠you, also, get to see what you sent.
I am 700 plus miles from Olive Branch, MS⦠but was able to make a special day in my son and new daughter-in-laws life even more special. I canāt thank you enough⦠Wayne and Jeanette!
Congratulations on being voted āBest Floristā in the Mid-South in 2013! Wishing you much continued success with your business, Darling...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen ordering flowers for an occasion out of state, I am either at the mercy of calling my local florist to farm the order out or calling one of those 1-800 numbersā¦who will farm the order out. I really like to speak to the person whose artistry I will be depending on. Wayne Darling assured me he was up for the task of providing a spray for my uncleās funeral. He asked if I would like a text photo or an email of the arrangement. He said this is something he likes to do, take a photo at the point of delivery and send it to his customer. Wow! That is a great service but the photo far exceeded my expectations. Great customer service sometimes seems a thing of the past but Darling Flowers has that in spades and with new technology has taken that to...
