I had a pleasant experience with Batteries Plus fixing my phone. My phone wouldn't turn on one day but I wasn't sure if it was the battery. I called to check if it wasn't the battery, would they still be able to fix it. The guy on the phone was super helpful and even checked to see if they had a battery for my phone in stock (it's a super old iphone model) and they did! He said to bring it in so they could run diagnostics on it that would tell me if it wasn't the battery. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and he said no but that I should make an appointment online so I can get a $10 off coupon. Sweet! After making the appointment online I immediately went to the store and was greeted by Michael. He got me checked in and made me feel confident that they could help. He let me know that if it wasn't the battery, they would not charge me. When I returned to the store Michael said they replaced the battery and were able to turn my phone back on and I was so relieved. So overall, great experience! The only reason I gave an 4 stars instead of a 5 was because I had expected Michael to call me to let me know my phone was ready and I never got a call. Michael had originally gave me an ETA of about an hour and a half, but I asked him to call me when they knew more about my phone, we even confirmed the number he should call me on. There was a lot going on in the store though and I know that sometimes these things slip through the cracks. But I was sitting in the parking lot waiting for them to call me and when it hit the two hour mark is when I finally decided to go back into the store to check the status of my phone. I feel like I probably waited an hour longer than I needed to. Or maybe he was just about to call me before I walked in? Who knows. I want to give Michael and Batteries Plus the benefit of the doubt because they did go above and beyond in other ways. I will return to Batteries Plus for my future battery and cell phone repairs and I will recommend them to my friends and family. Perhaps management can put a better system in place so that customers are contacted when their phones are ready. My time is valuable and it really makes a big difference!...
Read moreI went here with my partner to get their cell phone's screen replaced. We dropped it if without incident, and were told it would take a couple hours. Five hours later, we were wondering what the status was, so we called the store. We were told that the phone was ready. We were annoyed that we hadn't received a call, but such things happen, and we made our way back to the store. Upon our return, we were told that typically the new screen would want to be left for 24 hours, but they knew we wouldn't want to be without the phone for that long. This was aggravating, because at no point was that discussed; we could have planned around not having the phone for that long if it meant that the phone would be good. As a makeshift solution, they wrapped the phone in rubber bands to keep the screen in place, and told us to stack books on it. I hope you can feel my frowny face right now. This was followed by being told that they didn't have the warranty information handy, and couldn't release the phone without some sort of payment. Bear in mind, they took the phone without communicating this. It felt like a bit of a shakedown, with them intimating that we were going to have to pay out of pocket for repairs that had been prearranged. They reluctantly offered to call their store manager, because they had no record of any warranty claims being received. We resolved the issue by having my partner sign into their email account on my phone, and give them the information they were originally sent. Read moreBought a battery for my Acura about 1.5 years ago. Was advised by an employee named Joe of all the different options and the pros and cons of each. I followed his recommendation and purchased a mid tier battery that would handle all my needs and use of power. Well fast forward to today I was alerted by my car that my battery charge was not holding. So I called the Batteries Plus team in Olympia and they said to come in. When I got there I was pleased to see Joe was still there. He took his time to test and diagnosed the issue. He advised that it was most likely an alternator issue with my car as the battery test was on the low side but still within functional tolerances. He said to gey my car to my mechanic asap, but as I was trying to leave the battery lost enough charge and my car was not operable. Joe then get on the phone to his boss and advocated for me and got approval to do a warranty replacement since it was testing a little low. He then installed a new battery and cleaned up the connections and got me on my way. So from advising me over a year ago to purchase the correct battery that came with a warranty to installing the new one tonight, I am very happy with my experience both on a customer service side and a business side for them honoring a warranty they could have simply denied if they were more worried about the bottom line.
