If I could leave 10 stars I would!
I have been searching for a new mattress for almost a year shopping around to all the known places having found several I liked but didn't like the price or the experience. I am a nurse and firefighter and my time and sleep are vital for me to perform at my best as it is for so many however like others finances are a constant concern. I stopped in to the Olympia location on a whim while traveling and fell in love with my dream bed. I had a long and productive conversation with Raymond then however against my better judgement I elected to hold off purchase and continue my search, huge mistake. The mattress I wanted was on sale and was very reasonable considering it was name brand ($700 for a luxury full) but my gut told me I could do better financially... Wrong! I elected to purchase not one but 2 other mattresses online that were "reputable" less expensive but "comparable" to the one I liked with literally thousands of positive reviews. Worst mistake I could have made. Needless to say they didn't match up and the customer service with the sellers was nothing short of horrible! 6 months later from my first interaction with Raymond and the Olympia Mattress Depot I found myself again in Olympia (about 3 hours from home). I decided to return and I'm so glad I did! Raymond was again the gentleman who helped me and just as before he was VERY helpful, knowledgeable and respectful and I cannot thank him enough for that! I've been to other Mattress Depot locations that were closer to me but they feel short like so many other companies (Mattress Firm, Sleep Number, Macy's, etc) compared to this location. Raymond was the driving force behind this positive experience and was an absolute pleasure to work with! This location is family owned and it's clear Raymond has a passion for his work and he actually cares about the needs of others. He was very honest, kind, and insightful but above all respectful! He was never pushy and was completely patient and supportive of me, my needs, my time, and my money. Out of all the places I've stopped this was the only place that I actually felt in control and could make a conscious decision that I actually felt good about on a product that's actually worth the time and money. Also a huge "little thing" bonus for me was when I was testing out the different options available and I would lay on my side he would always position himself so that he was never at my back and always in view. I am a single female who was alone at the time and this was a huge thing for me and just the tip of the iceberg of the wonderful experience working with Raymond. There truly is not enough words to describe how happy I am with him and specifically the Olympia Mattress Depot! He went above and beyond for me and my needs and I'm certain this is not a one off situation for me with him. He worked with me to make sure my needs were met at a price I could afford and feel comfortable with. Trust me DON'T waste your time and money like I did and go see Raymond at Mattress Depot Olympia! You won't regret it! I hope to not have to search for a mattress again anytime soon but if I do there's only one place I'll ever go again. I had been eyeing mattress depot, but I pity the fool. So I had to do research first. Good BBB ratings, dependable reviews other places, I will give them a shot.
Now, I am a mother of two. I work at least 55 to 60 hours a week and my sleep. Well let just say it. is. everything. When I actually get it.
I walk in, and feel a serene knowledgeable energy. I dont have time for a salesman, so I attempt to blow him off as I skim the room for my next haven. Then comes Doug. Charismatic, but I assume his job is to be this way.
I am pleasantly proved wrong, and impressed as we begin to digress about proper sleep positioning and the important of circulation and breath within sleep. He is genuine, almost in an uncanny way. I instantly feel comfortable as he assesses my needs, preferences and moves on to suggesting a bed. I though here we go, he is gonna try to sell me the most expensive bed in the place. Instantly, my guard goes up.
Little do I kow Doug is a diamond in the sky. He shows me a bed manageable in price, perfect for my needs, and answers every question I have.
I challenge here, I challenge him there he remains steadfast in his confidence in the product and in his truth. Obviously I had to buy to the damn bed. BUT this time, I did it without remorse or obligation. I did it because I felt transparency, honesty and consideration. Often when I shop I fall victim to judgment of a books cover.
Doug had customer service and honesty in his heart, he answered the most obnoxious questions I had, with patience and simply a down to earth grit, the mattress depot is lucky to have.
I have a bed, its amazing, and I probably wont buy a bed anywhere else. Unless Doug isn't there.

Read moreI was in need of a new pillow top king mattress, and I found what I was looking for at Mattress Depot USA. The salesperson was friendly, helpful, and did not pressure us. We ended up getting the mattress, two gel-cooled pillows, and the terry cloth sheet protector. The delivery and pickup went very smoothly as well. Our mattress and pillows are very comfortable and we're very happy with our purchase.
The only issue I had (and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5) was that after everything was delivered, I took another look at my receipt and realized that they had overcharged me for the pickup of my old mattress. Pickup for each item is supposed to be $15 per piece, and since I had two boxsprings and my old mattress, the total should have been $45. Instead they charged $45 per piece, for a total of $135. They were happy to refund it but I was a little upset that if I hadn't noticed this myself, I would have been overcharged by $90.
Anyway, when I returned to the store to have them refund the overcharge to my credit card, there was a man knocking at their back door to deliver something. The customer service rep at the front desk made a friendly joke as he went to answer the door, saying "We don't want any Girl Scout cookies!" The delivery guy responded with "Oh, Girl Scouts? You got any of those? Oh I guess I could get in trouble for that." Um... Girl Scouts are like 6 years old, could you not be gross? I was really annoyed by this comment but at this point was just ready to get the refund and head out. It's a shame this tainted an otherwise positive experience.
