I shop a lot in target more than Walmart, we used to live in California and I never had any issues with the store near me, when I check the store produced online to see if they have it in stock or not and when I go to that store to purchase the product I was looking for I find it with the same quantity as advertised on line. We just moved from California to Olympia on April 10, 2025 and we started shopping in target on 2925 Harrison Ave at the capital Mal, guess what? I have an issue with the quantity advertised online it's totally different then the store, for example pita bread yesterday Friday 07/04/2025 I checked the store online and it advertised that they have 6 in stock favorite day bakery pita bread and 5 in stock mini pita bread so I drove 4 miles one way to purchase the 6 pita and the 5 mini pita, when I got there I looked in the basket on aisle 9 and all what they have is 3 pita and one mini pita I took them and asked the associates do you have more pita bread like this anymore and he looked at me and said no this is all what we have, then I told him that online it says there's 6 in stock and 5 from the mini he said will I think so someone else bought before you came, then he said to me you can go to Safeway they have pita bread and I told him I know that but I like target pita bread more then the Safeway. Then I paid for my purchase and went home. Then I said to myself let me check online again to see if the associate telling the truth or not, so I checked online for the same target store if they have pita bread or not and it shows that they have in stock 3 pita and 4 mini pita, that it doesn't make sense if I bought the 3 pita and the 1 mini pita it should show out of stock not 3 and 4 in stock. that's means the associate not telling the truth. So far I have this issue with this story 5 times and the first time I asked the customer service desk if they can order 20 pita bread for me, they said no we cannot do that. I am really upset. I hope the store management will take care of issues like this, it's not just pita bread maybe other products customers have...
Read moreI was trying to return 3 Christmas presents my son received. Your $30 return policy is ridiculous. One item was a LEGO. He already has that LEGO and just wanted to exchange for a different LEGO. Since it was over $30 and we did not receive a gift receipt, we couldn’t do that. Gift giving for kids is difficult. I teach my kids to smile and say thank you for whatever they receive and if it’s something they already have we can go exchange it. They’re as excited when they get a duplicate toy because they know it means they can go pick something else out. Not anymore. I spent the majority of my Christmas money at target. I won’t do that again. For someone that spends thousands a year at your store and over $1,000 just last month, it’s a pretty big slap in the face to be unable to exchange a $32 LEGO. And you lost on extra money for me. Usually when my children exchange, they buy something that costs more so you missed out on additional purchases from me. I love shopping at target but with this new $30 policy, I’ll sadly be taking most of my shopping to Walmart. You’d think there would be an exception at Christmas time when people receive multiple gifts without gift receipts. I don’t want to go back to my cousin and say.....hey you bought my son 4 great gifts but he already had 3 out of the 4 and can I get a receipt. That’s just awkward. I’ll eat the $32 LEGO and take my business elsewhere. I’m not dealing with a stupid inconvenient return policy. I’m sure you have people that abuse it but for someone like me that spent thousands of dollars at your store last year, it seems like punishment. Stop punishing your good customers! I won’t feel bad for you when amazon and Walmart put you out of business. Amazon does everything to make shopping easy for customers. Your return policy is...
Read moreTypically as a General Merchandise Expert, you clock in, go to the guest services to pick up a box cutter, radio and a zebra which 9 out of 10 times there were no radio or zebras which made work take longer than need be and the store refused to order more to solve the issue which delayed productivity and hurt the bottom line. I learned to interact and anticipate customers' needs. I learned their system for back stocking, picking, and even had active shooter trainer which was education on how to deal in the crisis even though I disagreed with leaving customers behind for self-preservation.
However management couldn't seem to communicate with each other and the main manager of the store even held minor things against you like if you wanted to transfer to a different department and it was okayed they would reverse the decision since you had been sent home sick one by another Supervisor and the leadership team leader under them made it their mission to constantly browbeat you over it saying it was an attendance issue as well as any medical problems you had that you are legally disabled for. There is no real room for advancement in the store and when your hired for full-time work and they only give you 10 hours a week it doesn't pay the bills and it becomes part-time work not survivable with when you have kids. Leadership should never mistreat employees and Target had a high turn over rate regarding employees even from my visual and knowledge in the store.
While I appreciated the job as I loved my location there is too much disorganization in their leadership and maltreatment of employees. If you say something stick by or you lose...
