I brought a family engagement ring and wedding band that were welded together to Ware (Tiger Town) to have the stones from the band used in a new ring. I talked to a sales lady (Joe. Amazing) who found a ring with a design that she said they could make something close to. That sales woman retired, and there was a mix up with the design when it was passed to a new salesperson. 7 weeks later (I was told approximately 6 weeks for a finished product) they were able to send me a 3D rendering of the design. They ended up using all of the stones from both rings, and making a design I wasn’t crazy about. I told them I would rather just buy a ring that they already had in store rather than wait another 6+ weeks on a new design, and asked that they just return the rings and stones to me. I was told that while extracting the stones from the engagement ring that should have never been altered, it was damaged, rendering the engagement ring “Unsalvageable”. After purchasing a new ring from the store, they were able to send my family ring back and had it successfully restored, which they charged me almost $300 for (the restoration of the ring that was never supposed to be touched was emasculate). The 6 stones from the wedding band were not reseated and were returned to me in plastic baggies. I understand that mistakes happen, but seeing their complete unwillingness to fix a mistake, and then having me pay for the solution was not ideal. Hopefully they are able to fix whatever the issue in my situation was and keep it from happening to anybody else...
Read moreUPDATE: following this review, the owner called, apologized to my son, told him the entire process should have only taken 4 weeks, & refunded the $230 they charged for their mistake. The original sentimental dream ring problem cannot be fixed at this late date, but I’m changing 1 star to 4 stars realizing mistakes happen and an apology matters. ————————————————————— I could not be more disappointed in a place that we have done business with for 3 generations! When my son decided to propose to his girlfriend, of course he went to Wares. He took rings from each of his grandmothers to have stones included in a very sentimental engagement ring. Jan 7 he met, designed, & gave specific instructions of which stones to remove & use in the new ring. Told a 3-D rendering in 2 weeks & 6 weeks total for finished ring. He called after 3 weeks with no info. Again 2 weeks later. Feb 26 (7 weeks) he finally gets a rendering that is nothing like the design he agreed to. He tells them to return his Gma’s rings and he will just buy one since the timeline is taking longer than expected. Wares tells him they can’t b/c they destroyed two of the rings to make the drawing. (?) They ruined one Gma’s engagement ring that was soldered to the wedding band being deconstructed. They were never supposed to touch the engagement ring! Adding insult to injury, when he went to a retrieve his Gma’s rings, they charged him $230 b/c they had to reset the engagement ring that they were not supposed to touch! This is not the Wares...
Read moreI came into the store on Veterans Day and it was an unpleasant experience to say the least. My boyfriend and I had been looking at engagement rings. I particularly liked the Noam Carver line and this store was listed as a dealer on the Noam Carver website. The closest store with the line is in Columbus so I was very excited to shop today. When we came in, the store got eerily quiet. One particular girl with blonde hair stared at us for a few moments before saying anything. She didn’t smile at all - she looked at us in almost disbelief that we had come in. Nearly disgust. She finally said hello and skipped to the back of the store with another woman who also just stared. Another young lady came up and smiled. She asked if we needed help but told us that they didn’t carry that line. Unfortunately, my feelings were so hurt that I asked my boyfriend if we could just go. My feelings were so hurt because I didn’t understand the stop and stare. Needless to say, I will never shop here. When my future husband and I get married and my colleagues and friends ask about my ring - I’ll be sure to include this story. This was a very disappointing and...
