I am an attorney and this review is based upon my personal experience.
After researching many units and prices online, I decided on and found a great price on a new Pioneer 8200NEX receiver to replace a broken DVD/NAV factory unit in my 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring. I stopped by Jodi's, in Orange, CT, to see what they would charge to install the receiver in my mini-van. There, the store manager, Gary, gave me a quote to install a Pioneer 8201NEX (a newer version of the same unit) in my van purchased directly from his store, complete with all accessories to mirror the factory installation. The quote was so reasonable I could not justify purchasing the receiver online and did not feel the need to negotiate further. Prior to the installation, I was advised not to upgrade the factory speakers until after I heard the improvement in sound quality that would result from the new receiver. After the installation, I was so impressed by the improvement in sound quality that I elected to retain the original, 12 year old factory speakers.
I couldn't be more pleased with the service and recommendations I received from both Gary and Pernell, his associate, at Jodi's. Both of them spent time with me and my wife after the radio was installed familiarizing us with its functions and showing us how to use it. They both receive my highest recommendation.

The staff was sincerely apologetic about the miscommunication on timelines among their team and us. I do understand that things can happen, happy that we returned back the next day- my car looks great.
Original: Horrible experience.. called this morning and was told to drop car off at 2pm.. hadn’t heard anything back from them, called and no answer at 6:30 (shop closes as 5:30), drove there they said they were backed up and working on it.. go back at 9pm.. and they haven’t even started my car.. very disappointed that I wasted today. If they were overbooked they should have said something. They had my car for 7.5 hours. Terrible- no calls from anyone in 7.5 hours saying that they couldn’t get to my car. Terrible...
