Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Orange

Kind of a sad story here... The burgers are great, and the people are great, but the environment is so overlooked. The air conditioner feels like a swamp cooler, and often it's barely cooler inside than outside. Everything in this place is sticky - the chairs, the tables, and everything you touch sticks to you. There is either so much grease or soap on the floor that if you stand still for a minute you can feel your feet gradually slipping out from under you. An auto-shutoff faucet in the bathroom produces cold water only, and there's no paper towels; just an Excel hand dryer mounted so high that the water runs down your arms when you try to dry your hands. When something was wrong in the men's bathroom a while back, it took more than three weeks with a sign on a locked door before it got fixed. It's really a shame, because the people are great, and I've mentioned all these things to them several times trying to help, but nothing changes - so here's an honest review that I wish I could've written...

My boyfriend and I ordered food from here, and got it delivered. When it arrived the food was ice cold except for the milkshakes which were slightly warm. All fried foods- tater tots, fries, and Mac and cheese bites were both cold and completely soggy. All of them were packaged in open cardboard containers so they had spilled all over the bags (grease leaked through the bottom of the bag). My burger was made to order, and contained almost no toppings despite my “extra” specifications. The burger was cold especially in the middle and was very wet. What constituted bacon cheese fries contained a solid block of cheese melted to the top of soggy fries with two strips of bacon (not bacon bits). Our milk shakes had zero flavor (we ordered two different flavors) and they arrived warm so we barely touched them. To top all of this off with a bang, both of us got extremely sick to our stomachs about 45 minutes later. The food was completely overpriced and very dissatisfying. I will never order...

Don’t really care much for restaurant customer service gimmicks. When I wanna munch burgers, I want a real tasty burger and that’s what you get right here at #wayback burgers.

I did add a few twists to my order tho to spice things up. Anyways, the burger leaves a real heartwarming, appetite welling, and mouth watering taste lingering on your palate.

If care is not taken, I’ll probably knock on a few pounds in the weight department. Lol.

Also, their milkshakes totally hit the spot. They’re not too heavy at all, smooth and the flavour is deliciously on point.
