Read moreI got to the store location right at 8:00 in the evening during Christmas break, to find a phone to call from since I didn't have one on me that worked, and tried getting a hold of my parents, but the owner just gave me rude gestures, in ways of going away, even in times of emergency when I desperately needed a simple phone call. She was emotionally harsh to me, and seemed percussive and strict. I couldn't sleep over the next few nights, with anxiety, and sorrow. That owner clearly doesn't have a mercy side of her. My mother even told me that they weren't that nice to her whenever she had shopped there. She told me that it's better at the one in American Fork, cause at least they make you feel more at home than this one. Honestly, I still cry in my emotions from how harsh that owner, or manager was with blonde hair. I went in to find some vinyl letters for football helmets and it turns out that no one makes what I was hoping for—not even on the inter webs which is why I descended on a brick and mortar craft store, must unwillingly. BUT the three employees who helped me were very sharp and quick to admit what they didn’t know and then personally handed me off to someone more knowledgeable.
Their attention to my unusual request was actually a little heartwarming.
After realizing that they didn’t have what I wanted, I learned that I would have to infiltrate the seedy underground of the vinyl cricut (I think it was called that... sounds like a gang). Overwhelmed by the effort in my little project, I wandered aimlessly through aisle after aisle of wooden crafts, odd-looking smelly things and endless cheerily-scripted decorations. Oh what surprise then filled my heart when I stumbled upon Star Trek and Star Wars gear! It was some kind of tesseract that placed me in a geeky corner adorned with multiple offerings, and yes, even Marvel too. Dumbfounded, I stood and scratched my head.
Yes, Hobby Lobby is...
