I made a reservation over a week in advance for 2 of the pork ribs for my little family’s traditional Christmas night dinner. I scheduled to pick them up on Christmas Eve. When I got there to pick them up, waited patiently while employees tried to locate my ribs. Eventually, a lady, who I’m assuming is the manager, informed me they didn’t have any ribs for me. Apparently, despite the fact that I made a reservation, since I did not prepay they were not guaranteed. So, my first question is, what the hell is the point of allowing people to make a reservation without prepayment if you’re not going to have the item in stock? What really bothered me, however, was the complete and utter lack of customer service that was demonstrated. The woman did not once apologize. On the contrary, she stared at me unapologetically and stated, matter of factly, “we don’t have any for you.” No “I’m so sorry” or “I apologize.” Lastly, there was no attempt or offer whatsoever, on her part, to help by calling other stores to see if they had them in stock. I had to do that myself when I got to my car almost in tears at the thought that my family’s traditional meal wasn’t going to happen. Call me crazy or old fashioned but I just think customer service means doing a little more than what she did. At least, it did when I worked in the customer service industry. My wife found on your website a coupon for early pick up with $8 off , my wife called and talked to your employee ,(A older lady) 2 days ago to find out if she could use a gift card from Costco and the coupon on your website together to purchase a ham. The employee informed my wife that you would accept the gift card from Costco and the coupon from your website for early pick up at the same time for same order. Now you the manager got into a argument with my wife . Wouldn't it had been better to just give my wife what she asked for rather than have a argument in front of other customers. Although I’m no longer working here, I will say that Mark, the manager at this location, truly cares about his customers and his employees. He cares about how things are done in both the front and back of the store, and when the holiday rush really ramped up, he worked alongside us despite having other duties. Exceptional leader. If you want your meals done right, this is the place to go.
