7/2025 the cantaloupe give my son a stomached
6/19 my stomach hurt after eating here at 3 am. Nothing was fresh except the salad bar. All the hot food was mushy or stale and seemed like it had been out since lunch. It isn’t busy on Monday and they don’t rotate the food. Flavor was gross.
6/14 we ate here and my 4 year old said his stomach hurt from eating too much then the next morning he vomited 3 times, but he vomits regularly so not sure if it was the ice cream and cupcake and lemonade?
$15 per adult (Chuck-A-Rama is $18).
9/22 the guy cooking steak doesn’t know what well means in English and it had a weird seasoning on it. Cooked Broccoli was brown. 4/28/22 They had 2 bowls of spinach in the salad bar so they wouldn’t run out! The Women’s restroom has a soap dispenser that isn’t working so I had to wait a while since it was busy. The family restroom has a strong electronic fragrance dispenser which is annoying because it causes cancer. Iekcaj is a short young lady with dark hair and highlights and wears a mask and restocked the salad bar 4/9/22 and there was a little of everything except spinach and she was slowly taking her time restocking everything else and I didn’t see any spinach on her cart so I asked if she could get some spinach and she said yes. Then she kept slowly stocking everything else. I saw another lady wiping off the salad bar so I asked if she could get some spinach but she said she wasn’t allowed to. So I sat down and ate my whole salad and watched her take 10 minutes to slowly empty her cart then she took the cart out and came back and chatted a while with a blonde employee. I went up to see if she now had spinach and she still didn’t have any. I told her I had already finished my salad and she looked at me with a look filled with all sorts of attitude, like no employee ever has the right to tell her to do anything. I then asked to talk to her manager so she took me to him and he got me some spinach. Then I went to make another salad and Jackie kept trying to step into my way and block me from dishing up to assert her dominance over the salad bar area, and trying to let me know that the customer needs to yield to her. My toddler and baby cry and require constant attention so I can only dish up quickly if I want to get back before my toddler runs off and my husband gets worn out trying to watch them both very long. She has no sense of urgency, unlike many other servers who were literally running around to keep up with the amount of customers on a Saturday night. The manager apologized and agreed that her behavior was unacceptable, but I was bothered that when she was rude a second time to me after I had already told him about her, he let her keep working at the salad bar and wouldn’t come talk to me since the server told him that he had already talked to her. Maybe she is his daughter.
Strawberries, cheesy potatoes, and cooked mushrooms are delicious. Dessert bar doesn’t have very yummy desserts. Icecream is watery. Burnt French bread with meat grease flavor. No peas in salad bar. Plastic utensils in hot dishes leach plastic into food,...

I am left shocked at my recent experience with Golden Corral in Orem. What a saddening decline in the food industry when I pay money to get flipped off for asking for a spoon.
As my child and I got to the dessert bar, the ice cream cups were gone. There were several other customers waiting for the cups so I went to the side of the buffet to see if a worker was close by. When the lady came out of the galley door, I said “excuse me” upon which she turned, looked at me and without a word gave me the hand “✋” and went past me to the oven. I would have appreciated a simple, “I’ll be right with you!” or any proper acknowledgement of my presence. I waited until she came back and then asked if she had any more cups. Wordlessly she walked away and replaced the cups.
Later I went back to get a spoon. The container of spoons at the dessert bar were empty so I asked a different worker right next to them if she had any more spoons. Her response was “ask your server”. I responded that the dessert spoons were empty pointing to the empty cup. She looked at me and then pointed to the other lady (the worker from the cup experience) and said “ask her”. So I approached the lady and nicely asked her if she had any more spoons. She says nothing and points across the room.
By this point I’m annoyed. Why can’t she use words? I have no idea what she is even pointing to!
I respond—“I’m sorry, I don’t understand where you are pointing to!” She looked at me annoyed and then changed fingers from her pointer finger to the middle finger, FLIPS ME OFF with a scowl and tells me “above the Mac and cheese!”
What!!?! Is this what the Golden Corral standard is for employees? Is this what customer service in the food industry is? I literally got flipped off for asking someone to refill a spoon container. A task that in complete honesty should have been done without me having to ask, it is her job!
I know one thing—Golden Corral won’t be on our restaurant options for our...
Read moreFood was great, buffet was clean, overall appearance was fine. HOWEVER, there are some MAJOR issues regarding sanitation and Covid19.
One- NONE of the servers are wearing gloves. They're constantly picking at their masks, picking up other plates and using cleaning supplies glove free. Why is this a problem? Because the same servers picking up other used plates, using cleaning supplies, are ALSO bringing you new plates touching these clean plates with their GLOVE FREE HANDS... They are easily spreading covid19 and or germs from everything else they touch, and THEN touch your clean plate you are expected to use to eat off? MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE! If my hands are touching the same cup, and my server touches the same cup, hand free, then they go take someone clean plates? They just contaminated that person's plates.
Second- DONT SWEEP THE CARPETS next to someone who is eating. You can kick up all kinds of fine dust particles.
Third- ALL the plates you are being served to eat on, sit RIGHT NEXT TO CLEANING SUPPLIES? CLOSE to the floor next to a broom and next to the dust pan, Like REALLY?
Fourth- NO STAFF FOCUS on people dishing food on their plate with no gloves on. I noticed 2 individuals using the spoons with NO GLOVES ON. REALLY?????
Five- My server took 40 minutes to finally refill our soda cup. He refilled it with warm soda???? REALLY?????
Six. I witnessed servers clean tables, touch their shirt, count money (tips) and then go get people their clean plates to eat off?? REALLY?
WOW SOMEONE ISNT DOING A GOOD JOB AT MANAGEMENT HERE AND IT SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED
MAKE YOUR SERVERS WEAR CLEAN GLOVES IF HANDLEING CLEAN PLATES OR CLEANING. AND TELL YOUR SERVERS NOT TO TOUCH THEIR MASK AND THEN GRAB CLEAN PLATES THIER FINGERS ARE TOUCHING THE SURFACES OF THE PLATES.... THIS IS WHERE YOU FAIL AT COVID19...
