I’ve spent countless hours and dollars at this Foxtail location, working from here regularly, buying coffee, food, and contributing to the atmosphere they market so heavily. But today, I was reminded that loyalty means nothing when bias is at play.
I walked in simply to wash my hands, something anyone would expect to do without issue. Instead, I was immediately met with resistance and told I could only use the restroom if I was a paying customer, as if I were some stranger off the street. No warmth. No recognition. Just cold enforcement of a rule that seems to shift based on who is asking.
I am a disabled U.S. veteran. I’ve defended this country with everything I have. And I felt like I was being treated like I didn’t belong in a place I’ve supported with my time and money.
I couldn’t shake the sense that I was being racially profiled. If I looked different, if I wasn’t black, if my skin were lighter, the response would likely have been more gracious, more human.
I’ve watched others walk in and out of this shop without issue, people who weren’t immediately challenged or questioned, people who weren’t made to feel small for asking for something so basic. So why was I treated this way?
This isn’t about coffee. This is about decency. About dignity. About refusing to accept behavior that quietly tells people they’re less than.
Foxtail, you’ve lost my business for good. And I won’t stay silent about it. No one, regardless of race, disability, or appearance, should ever be made to feel like they’re less than welcome in a space they’ve...

Just to get exactly what you want, explain to the bartender your preference of taste. I like coffee with bitterness. And I got what I wanted.
Why am I describing this in such detail? Because I love coffee and dream of opening my own coffee bar. To do this, I did a lot of work to find good coffee from my "future competitors". When a fair is held in the park, various representatives of mobile coffee shops come. I tried everything they sell.. And I will tell you that it is not worth attention, it is difficult to call it coffee. In my presence, the bartender poured boiling water through a Turk with a portion of coffee to early customers twice. This is unacceptable! I understand that they had a large flow of customers. But this is the ultimate disrespect for their customers.
In general, go to this cafe, order what you need, you will not be disappointed. Checked.✅ This is not an advertisement, this is just my personal opinion. Thank you for...
Read moreWe had a nice experience! Located steps off of Lake Eola, so its super convenient. They have a lot of unique options, new and creative flavors, as well as the regular stuff you know and love. We tried the lemon cake (amazing), coffee was solid, and prices were decent. I spent $15 on a large tea, specialty coffee, and a lemon cake. The atmosphere is really serene and calm.. music is a little upbeat for my liking (not as good for studying or working), but I guess that's why we have headphones. Service was okay, not excellent. I will be back! One of my favorite coffee shops in Orlando so far - even though...
