SODO KAVA — Local services in Orlando

Definitely my go-to kava bar in Orlando. Located just south of downtown (SODO is the district it’s located in, which is an acronym for SOuth of DOwntown) this friendly place is a perfect hangout if alcohol is not your thing.

Everyone is welcome here and I would be surprised if anyone spends an hour here and not have the opportunity to chat to someone interesting…

Their kava is well made and smooth without grittiness and their teas are on point with a wide variety of flavorings.

The best are their amazing tenders who are not only knowledgeable but genuinely nice and not fake. You can sense that they believe in their bar and are very much part of the kava community and the sober bar movement.

Destiny and Jenn will make you feel as if you’re a guest in their home and it always is a delight for me to stop and take a few minutes out of my busy day to hang with worthwhile peeps while enjoying a shell.

The great atmosphere and drinks attracts all ages, creeds and colors but it tends to be a more urban, slightly more mature crowd which is perfect for me.
