What can I say about this little gem? It was excellent in every way. If you prefer smaller, more personal venues for your music performances, check them out. The acoustics FLY OUT OF THE BALLPARK and the music is so clear and crisp. I was genuinely impressed by the sound quality. I am in my 40s, but I am still a student lol. Chris was so helpful and friendly, helping me secure student tickets online. Their events are usually BYOB, which is nice if you have a particular favorite. They provide tumblers. There is bench-style floor seating as well as a 2nd and 3rd floor, provided by a quaint circular staircase. Bathrooms on each floor. Wheelchair friendly. There is plenty of street parking, and there is overflow available in the park near the house. I also liked that there was a kinda "no stress" dress code, some guests were in formal attire, and my sister and I were casual in jeans. It only took one visit for this to become one of my new favorite music venues for a fun night out or even a date night. Can't wait to come again! (Post has been edited to reflect info received from owners response. I didn't know there was a restroom on each floor 🙂. Thats...
Read moreOh. My. Gosh. Everything was fabulous. From the food to the sharing of wines to the performance itself, hands down one of the most enjoyable nights I've had in a while. They even set up the chairs to have a bench in front of them so you can set down your food and drinks while you are watching or if you need to get up. The place was beautifully decorated and for this show we were given 3d glasses because in the background they were showing a photographer's at on the TV while you got to listen to the awesome music. So getting down to the actual performance, it was lovely. They hosted a jazz scat singer, Fred Johnson, a bassest, Micheal something, and a saxophonist and flautist, Daniel something. All there of these men are very talented and great at what they do. They played some songs over never heard of but really liked and then they did some more familiar songs like "lovely day" by Bill Withers. Then they had some audience participation called a soundscape where he got a random list of words from the audience and made up a song on the spot using them! It was great! Both me and my boyfriend had a lot of fun. I would...
Read moreAn amazing hidden gem that I had no idea even existed until last night's adventure!! And I live 2 miles away from it!! I mean really, this place blew me away. There is street parking so it's a short walk. The entryway is a little steep, so heads up if you have mobility issues, you'll need to add a little time and go slower.
Once inside there is a small entry way with a desk area. From there the double doors lead to a small stage (i.e. their living room) and then a spiral staircase that goes up three floors! There is a gorgeous balcony with a great view line - check that out. The stage and seating is intimate. It's ideal for a small show or a more personal show. I think this would be great for an open mic night!
Overall: A++ Gorgeous intimate venue with an amazing staff....
