China 1 — Restaurant in Oshkosh

I'm not a person to complain...in fact I very rarely complain, and this place is normally REALLY good, but today was abysmal...

I walked in at 1:48pm and ordered a buffet and was informed by the cashier that the buffet wasn't being stocked because it closed at 2:00pm. That part irritated me off the bat...because why have a buffet...with posted hours if you aren't going to honor the hours. I get it...I was the only person in the restaurant...and they don't do an all day buffet, so I get it, there's not reason to waste food that won't be eaten.

I glanced at the buffet and noticed a reasonable amount of food so I still decided to get the buffet. With tax is was $5.74 so it was a good deal money wise. I grabbed a plate and headed for the buffet and the fried rice was hard and crusty (it hadn't been touched in awhile obviously), the orange chicken was in a Nickelodeon type slime sauce because it had congealed so badly while sitting.

It's on me...like I said, I get it, I should have investigated the buffet properly before spending my money but I didn't realize the food on the buffet at 1:48pm was that inedible...especially when it should have been open for another 15 minutes or so.

This place has good food...normally, but today fell dreadfully short. My recommendation is to go well before 2:00pm so you don't get the absolutely horrendous food I got. Lesson learned, and even though the staff is friendly and the food is tasty it's sure going to make me think twice before I...

We love this place as our go to chinese take out. The chicken sticks are one of our favorites. Everytime the food ishot fresh and delicious. We enjoy the low cost of the lunch buffet monday through friday i believe between 12 and 2. Two of us and the baby can eat for under 20$. That's including drinks if we get them. This place is more up to date ,but reminds me of the little family places we would go when I was younger and living on the island. when I walked in... omg looks so old and dirty place never got cleaned well or token care of, and I know they have the money for to make place look nice I seen the owner deliver me my food when I order delivery they have nice expensive car Porsche it look like be serious now how can u not afford to make your restaurant look nice and pleasing for customers... And wow all the owner I think he is owner all he does was screaming to everyone. Not very nice people he is. The food was not very good no meat taste like real meat tho?... women in front very nice and helpful but the food was bad taste like I eat chemical I order again because I think maybe the first time was just a bad batch but no I get it...
