GameStop — Local services in Oshtemo Charter Township

I had to run in and out very quickly on a very busy Friday in the middle of rush hour traffic and crowds. The large shopping center (Maple Hill Pavilion) that this location is in the center of was chaotic with too many cars circling aggressively for the closest parking space...I was dreading what it might be like in the store based on the unruly mood out in the parking lot. I am very pleased to say my concerns were baseless. I am the wife and mother of two hardcore gamers (eighteen years and counting). We are a multi-console, dual platform household and I have frequented a couple dozen Gamestops in seven states and ten cities. This location is clean, neat, organized, well-stocked-one of the best I have been inside. The sales associate was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, clearly a gamer with enthusiasm and a wide knowledge base. GameStop is a great place to go to because every employee I have had interactions with use and love the products they sell-I wish other retail stores were like this. I grabbed the PSN cash cards I needed and was back out in Apocalypse Parking Lot to fight my way home with all of the surly commuters in five minutes flat. So, I wanted a GameCube controller adapter from this GameStop and ended up with a horrible experience instead. The main issues with this store is lack of communication among employees. I called about a week ago to ask if they had the adapters and was told I needed to come in and pre-order said adapter. A few hours after that call I went to this GameStop to pre-order it and was told by an employee that they do not offer pre-orders for that product. I mentioned that I spoke with someone on the phone and was told to pre-order it but that employee told me whoever I talked to gave false information. He then told me to come back today, 12/21, to get the product. I went in today and was told that I needed to pre-order the product in order to get it. So you can imagine my frustration as I have been bounced around by 3 different employees with a few different lies, essentially. I really just wanted an adapter to play games with my siblings when I go visit them for the first time in a few months but I am instead very disappointed. I would take caution when pre-ordering anything from this store. Make sure you speak to a manager in regards to the product...

Just left this GameStop only came here because the guys in portage didn't have the Xbox one I wanted so they directed me here. Also at portage I was selling an iPhone 5s in good condition needed to be charged. There the guy offered me 79 bucks. Okay so I asked would it be the same at this one on west main he replied yes should be now I understand it's not going to be the same and when I arrived the young lady wearing glasses looks me up and ask I asked about the phone and say well first off I can only do credit ok I say how much she looks and 29 bucks with much disrespect I grab my phone back and purchased the Xbox.
