I started at GIDF with the 10-week program, three times a week. I am now a full member and trying to go 6 times a week! To be honest, I tried another kickboxing studio(rhymes with "barrels") and felt that it was more of a status symbol than a workout class. After trying GIDF, I was hooked! The investment needed is far less, but the results are way better, in my opinion. The workouts focus on different parts of your body each day so you can go every day and not be completely worn out. If a personal trainer is more your style, that's an option as well. The instructors are highly qualified and very knowledgeable in many areas of fitness and nutrition. They offer multiple classes in the morning and afternoon to accommodate your work/life schedule. Also, there's an online app that allows you to easily sign up for classes and plan/track nutrition goals. In the three months that I've been going there, the studio has grown so much, the owner needed to move to a new location to accommodate the clientele. He must be doing something right!
I highly recommend GIDF! You have to try a few classes to fully appreciate the professionalism and creativity that's gone into setting up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's a great establishment however the owner runs it pretty unprofessional. Expects to create an account but instead pulls and saves your credit card info that just violates every code of personal security and confidentiality. Yeah, it's a small business but the fees for admission is absolutely ridiculous if you apply for larger parties.
To be blunt, the guy expects a re-initiation fee but when another family member whom is already paying for 2+ guest, I can't be part of that group because I didn't want to pay? Dude, you're already getting paid, almost seems like they took it personally.
Take the scenario for what you will but, there is definitely some 2-face bs experience there. I will not be supporting these types of ran businesses.
Edit: I had to check it again, and there is nothing prior to in terms of service agreement that states otherwise, if I unjoin my membership but someone else who is also a household family member can not (including Covid procedures at the time) be their guest instead for better economic efficiency on the consumer's behalf.
Edit 2: Posting again because somehow my review was hidden for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI tried two different fitness facilities that offer classes because I am the type of person that needs to be held accountable with my fitness. GIDF has been awesome and just what I was looking for! Jose really works with you to improve your technique during class and make sure your form is accurate, so you don't develop bad habits. He has more confidence in me right now than I do. He truly cares about people and their health. I go to early morning classes so I can't make excuses later in the day. While I am still trying to get used to the early mornings, the classes quickly wake me up and are never boring. Jose is also very quick to respond if you have questions, etc. If you want to work out on your own, there is a nice gym on the other side of where classes are held. I have not used that side, but see people in there a lot. Jose makes a point to go over and say hello to them also, which I think is really awesome. If you are on the fence, I'd give it a try with a free class and see what you think. There is no judgment here and people are very friendly. I do not regret...
