During winter 2018-19, I had an unsatisfactory experience with Furniture Manor, Osseo, MN. I am writing this review because I still feel unhappy with the results of re-upholstery of my recliner/chair; and I'm unhappy with the challenge of eliciting corrective action from Furniture Manor. I do not think my expectations were unreasonable: That is, I wanted my chair re-upholstery design to be the same when returned to me as when it left me. Upon return to me, the front of the arms were not the same as the original arms (and did not match the existing sofa of the same design). I spoke with the employee I had been working with to request the corrective action be done; then I was referred to another employee in the office; and finally referred to the owner of Furniture Manor. Unfortunately, after re-working the arms of the chair, the final product is still not satisfactory. Although the two arms are only slightly different from each other, still they do not "match". Also, there was an area on the arm that needed to be stitched down. When I spoke with Furniture Major, I was told "the upholsterer was done with the chair". The cost of this reupholstery project was $1,584.70 (10/27/2018) plus $91.40 (12/7/2018) for "repair"! Also, I just paid $25.00 to a local upholsterer to accomplish the stitch repair. I hope this review of poor workmanship, poor service, and high prices from Furniture Manor is helpful to anyone who plans to do business with...
Read moreWe ordered a sectional back in late February, early March. Even had the sales lady come to our house for measurements/ideas. After deciding how big we wanted to be to best suite our needs for the room, we went ahead and ordered our sectional. We were 100% positive this new piece we just ordered was going to exceed the width of our windows, and utilize as much room as possible. So the sectional was delivered just a few days ago and my wife called me at work saying our couch was delivered, but it is not nearly as big as what we thought we were getting. I then left a message with our sales lady explaining how this sectional is nothing like we thought we ordered, it was about 2 1/2 feet narrower than the window. Her response was “we will talk Monday, and make this right” By that, I found out “making it right” meant it cost me over $800 for the restocking fee of returning it and a thoughtful, “ I’m sorry you were disappointed” fair well from the owner.
My side of the story didn’t seem to matter. I was pretty surprised how poorly they handled this situation and sure didn’t expect a slap in the face like we received
Thank...
Read moreAs a local business owner myself, I am all about costumer service. I know some costumers can be difficult at times. We never know what the other person is going through at that time but it is my job as owner to provide great costumer service no matter what. I wanted to shop local and give my business to this local business which has good reputation and great selections of great quality products (not cheap), but after paying in full and told that because of Covid which we understand it was gonna take 8/12 weeks we then had to wait nearly 2 more months to get delivered and the owner instead of making it up to us but maybe giving us a discount for the delay and trouble she then continue to blame the company that makes them. We as buyer did not do our business with your vendor, we did business with you directly. It is your job to ensure our goods are delivered in the time you set forth. Not happy with their service. The sales team were nice. The owner doesn’t own up when she does a bad job. I will never go back there ever again or recommend anyone there. I won’t never treat my...
