My experience at Bridle Aisle was up and down; however, I did find my dress here. My mom and I went to our first appt on a weekday evening. Upon arrival our consultant explained that usually the bride-to-be chooses some dresses to start, and figure out likes/dislikes to narrow down a style. The limit appears to be 4, so once I found 4 dresses we headed back to the dressing room. The consultant helped me into each dress and then I would walk out to show my mom and look at them in the mirrors. At times I felt a bit rushedâwith the consultant immediately firing off questions when I hadnât even had the dress on for a full minute, such as: What do you like about the dress? What do you dislike? What would you change? Etc. I understand that in order to find a dress these are things to think about and will help to narrow them down, but as I said at times I felt that I barely had time to process. After the first 4 dresses, we seemed to narrow it down to a specific style and went to pick out 4 more dresses to try on. At this time I had found 2 dresses that I liked, but wanted to try on moreâjust in case I found one that was better than both. But, the consultant did not seem to agree much with this decision and said that it may be confusing to try on more or similar dresses. I felt discouraged and only tried on 2 moreâeven though I wanted to try on more than that, but I was trying to abide by what she was saying. I ended up putting 2 dresses on hold and came back 2 evenings later. When we arrived, (same consultant) asked if I would like to try on more dresses to which I was thrilled and picked out 4 dresses from the ânew arrivalâ rack; and ended up liking 2 of those better than the 2 I had reserved. I knew that I was close to picking a dress, but I did remember there were a couple more dresses from the 1st evening that I had wanted to tryâeither to rule them out or see if there was âthe oneâ. Again, the consultant was against this and advising me not to try on more when I already found 2 great dressesâtelling me that âwhen you found your fiancĂ© you didnât date all of the other men in the world to make sure they werenât the oneâ. I understand this, but all I wanted was to try on a couple more dresses before I made my decision (I wasnât starting over or asking to try on 10 or 15 more). Plus, finding a wedding dress isnât something that people usually do on a whim. My frustration grew and the tears fell. At which time the consultant was also trying to end the appt 30 min early due to low staffing and other brides arriving for appts. If I had to, I would have gone back a third time to try on the 2 dresses that I hadnât gotten to try, in order to make a decision that I felt good about; however, luckily another consultant was nearby and asked why I was upset. I explained the situation and she told me to get the dresses and try them on. That was all I wanted and needed, and after that I knew which one was for me. Hopefully this was a learning...
Read moreMy experience at Bridal Aisle was nothing short of fantastic, and I recommend this place very highly!
I was greeted by Sandi shortly after I entered the store, and she showed me where I could find different types of dresses and familiarized me with the layout of the store. Once I had the first dress in my hand, Sandi came over and offered to set me up in a fitting room. Once in the fitting room, she came by every few minutes, offering to help with zipping me up, adjusting straps, or whatever else I needed to successfully get into the dresses I'd selected.
After round one of trying on dresses, I went back out to see if there was anything else I was interested in trying on, and Sandi helped me find ideas by listening to what I liked and what kind of wedding we're having. She suggested ways to accentuate each look I came out wearing, and I was grateful for her ideas! I will definitely be employing a couple of them once I start planning accessories - and I'll definitely be going back to Bridal Aisle for that!
While I wasn't intending to buy my wedding dress on my first venture out, I ended up finding MY dress, the one that was perfectly suited to me. Sandi knew it too, and offered to take pictures using my phone for me. :) I ended up staying under my $300 dress budget...by A LOT! In fact, I noticed that all the dresses I looked at were more than fairly priced.
I also think it's worth mentioning that Annette, the owner, came over to me while I was browsing and asked if there was anything she could help me find, as well as how my experience at the shop was going. I was impressed to see that she is so hands-on in her business. In fact, everyone I interacted with there was personable, polite, and helpful!
Like I said at the beginning of this review, I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The dress-buying experience is, in and of itself, memorable, but the ladies at Bridal Aisle made it enjoyable and comfortable as well. Thank you all for the service and for my new...
Read moreI had been looking online and visited a few bridal stores trying to get an idea of what style I liked, but I'm on a limited budget and wasn't really finding anything that caught my eye. And one particular and popular store barely gave me the time of day. I was feeling a little defeated and Bridal Aisle kept coming up in my search engine, so I thought I'd swing in and just see what they had. To be honest, I wasn't sure how I felt about buying "someone else's" dress. Right when I walked in I was immediately greeted by the store owner and it had a welcoming feeling to it. I was amazed at how much wedding apparel they have in there. Everything you could imagine all in one store. And the choices of dresses were fantastic! All sorted by sizes too which was a huge help to me. They also have new never been worn dresses. The girl that helped me was like my personal assistant. I gave her a very vague description of what I thought I wanted, and she went right to the racks and started pulling dresses for me and brought them to my dressing room. I tried on quite a few including the exact same one I had found at the other said bridal store. She took pictures of the ones I liked on so I could send them to my maid of honor who lives out of state. She also found accessories so I could get a better feel of how it would all come together. There was one out of the bunch that I liked the best, but because I was concerned of the low cut sweetheart shape, she went back to the rack and found a couple more. The very last one I tried on was it!! It is the most beautiful dress and I hadn't seen anything like it anywhere. It made me feel like a princess. And it was on the low end of my budget and in perfect condition! They also have connections with a good alteration shop. I highly recommend checking this shop out. Thank you...
