While traveling through Oklahoma, I had planned on stopping at a few places that I had researched along my route that had at least a good selection of craft beer; Specifically the breweries outside of Dallas' distribution network. We stopped at Patriarch, Collins, Grand Cru, Owasso, Choice, and a couple other smaller stores on the way home through OKC. From Joplin, Owasso Liquor & Wine was actually the FIRST place we stopped. I didn't spend too much time there, I had only a day and a list of stores to check. I bought a couple Mikkeller Brunch Weasel and a couple different PA Stouts and went on my merry way. It was about 6 hours from start to finish when I walked out of Broadway Wine, but I wasn't satisfied. the only thing I can think about, was how Owasso selection & stock was exponentially superior to any place I had stopped in Oklahoma, or Texas even! The employee knowledge and passion were on point, and it was the only place I wasn't treated like a "Texan Tourist Prairie Artisan Stout Douche." Andy, I'm pretty sure was his name, was the gentlemen who had helped us, and I was so impressed with the business I proceeded to purchase nearly $500 of various Prairie stouts (cases, obviously). The prices were very competitive, the cheapest, actually, as I bought cases. The most important thing to me was that Owasso had such a huge stock and selection, it was also the only place that allowed me to purchase more than a "1 or 3 bottle maximum" of any of the beers I purchased that were "highly acclaimed". All in all, Owasso will be the only place that I buy beer next time I return to Oklahoma, regardless of its proximity to my...
Read moreI was hoping to get stuff to celebrate my birthday I was looking to spend 75$. Staff was friendly but stuff seemed marked up for St.Pats. What made a bad memory for me was there was a customer in front of me who stated it was his girlfriends b day and the clerk gave him a free pint of liquor. I stated right after that it was my b day too and showed my ID as proof. The clerk was about to grant me my choice and manager overheard this and stated they stopped doing that. So I felt terrible after that and basically walked out never to return felt it was unethical and poor business since on their part. What would have cost them a max of 13$ I would have thought was the coolest liquor store ever cause I've never heard of anyone doing that. I would have been going there as my regular but I felt insulted and uncomfortable after that display in front if other customers so this liquor store I give a...
Read moreIf they had a "terrible" option I would have picked it. The workers in the store are rude, not helpful and unprofessional. When i go in this store it seems like all of the employees dip and they leave their dip cup on the counter. The owner of the liquor stores looks to be about 45 but acts like he is 18 always bragging about a party that we went to the night before. He also speaks poorly about his wife/girlfriend loud enough for the whole store to hear.I actually drive out of my way to...
