I booked 2 King Suites because the information provided from Expedia said they had adjoining rooms. Furthermore, the pictures from the listing showcased the suites with adjoining doors in the rooms and therefore I thought it was safe to assume they adjoined. I even detailed the request for adjoining rooms in the request section. This was needed as the travelers were myself, my wife, and three children. After booking, I decided to call the hotel and confirm that the reservation featured the adjoining rooms. They informed me that they could not guarantee that the rooms would adjoin at that time and to call the day of the scheduled stay in order to attempt to coordinate that. The woman I spoke with ensured that she would be on duty that morning and would surely be able to accommodate the request. A couple of days later, on the morning of the scheduled stay I called as discussed. I was informed that unfortunately, only a select number of the king suites adjoined and as it turns out, they would not be able to accommodate this request due to bookings. I understood and informed my significant other. After much deliberation, we decided it wouldn't be too difficult to deal with the situation as long as the rooms were at least next to each other. The hotel could accommodate that request at least. We showed up for the stay in the late afternoon and the desk attendant was very polite and professional. We got to the rooms and settled in. Around 9:30pm we received a call that there was a noise complaint concerning the room our family was in. I didn't believe we were being excessively loud but nonetheless, we decided to all go to bed. This was concerning as because the rooms weren't adjoining, we had to go in and out of the door to traverse between the two suite rooms and the noise complaint turned into an anxiety attack every time that traversing occurred for the rest of the stay. The morning came around and I needed to take my pet out for a walk. It was raining and I did just that. My dog did her business and I headed back in. As I passed the front desk, a different attendant requested that I tell her what room I was in. Confused, I informed her of the room and I headed to the elevator. At that point she came running up and informed me that she needed to know which of the two suites the dog was in. I told her I wasn't sure and picked one. She then went on to lecture me on which room the pet form was filled out for and that if she wasn't kept in a particular room, I would need to pay another pet fee. I told her that she can tell me which room she needed the dog to stay in and that would be that. I also ensured she understood that the dog would be thoroughly dried off before she was allowed on any carpet just to keep her mind at ease. After approx. 5 minutes of lecturing I headed back to the room and this added to the already unwarranted anxiety. The breakfast egg omelets were bland, sausage was ok for hotel breakfast and the waffles were good. I had to remove the lid of the syrup dispenser as the spout didn't operate as it should. I honestly am surprised that I was confronted about my pet and that even after the attendant discovered that I had in fact registered her and filled out the appropriate form, she still went out of her way to stop and question me, preventing me from going up the elevator. Furthermore, the only reason the whole 2 room debacle occurred is because they weren't able to fulfill my adjoining room request as offered. These complications soured this hotel experience and I don't think I will be returning as I travel to this area multiple times a year, sometimes multiple times a month. It would have been a very convenient...
Read moreWorst experience ever! We got there and checked in. We discovered that the refrigerator wasn't working. We packed up our stuff and moved to a different room because the guy would not switch out the refrigerator. Once we got to the room, we discovered that the Pack n' Play that was provided did not work so I ended up having to put my baby in the bed with me (on top of the covers). While I was looking at my phone a little after midnight, I saw something scurry around the sheets. I used the light of my phone to look at it better. It was a bug! I stood up and pulled the sheets back. I discovered more and more bugs!...bedbugs!! (There was a sticky note on the headboard that said that the sheets and duvet covered were clean...umm no they weren't!) I went down to the front desk. The guy working it asked if I wanted new sheets. He also asked how long I had been in the room. I told him about 5 hours. His comment, "Well at least it wasn't 12 hours!" Are you kidding me!? I demanded another room. The next morning, I went down, showed her a picture of one of the bugs, and asked for a refund. She kept asking me what color the bug was. It was dark! I showed her a picture for crying out loud. She acted like she didn't believe me and went up to the room. She came back and admitted that there were bedbugs. The lady said that she couldn't give a full refund because they rectified the problem by switching me rooms at 1 in the morning. I started to flip out. After that, she called her general manager and said that she would get me a full refund. Someone overheard the conversation about the bedbugs and asked the front desk attendant about it. She told her that there was nothing to worry about. They also took the sheets off of the bed and put it with all of the other sheets from the other rooms! Every front desk attendant was ridiculously unprofessional. My son's face was ate up by bedbugs! Most places would be so apologetic and try to correct the situation. However, this...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night this past weekend, July 26th. The Executive Suite we rented was ok, but the AC only cooled half of the room. The side with the bed was very warm and muggy and the opposite side of the room with the sofa was cold. I imagine it is the same in the Winter months with the heat. We woke up at 12:30 in the morning burning up. We were offered another room, but who wants to pack up at midnight and move? It was frustrating. We asked for a fan but were told they did not have fans. I would highly recommend getting some for guests if this issue cannot be resolved. The other issue was that the free breakfast was not good. The powdered eggs were crumbles, not eggs. They were the consistency of Feta cheese. The orange juice was very watered down and had no flavor at all. We have experienced this at other Hamptons as well. Why even call it orange juice if it has nothing but water and a tablespoon of orange juice in it? Sausage was equally flavorless. We will not be staying here again. We will go to another brand of hotel. We are learning that Hamptons are not what they used to be, and the "freebies" come at a high price.|The breakfasts are a joke as far as taste and quality and the rooms may be clean, but they have uncomfortable problems that seem to be unfixable and not a problem to management. "Deal with it" is the attitude I get from these hotels. Another problem is that the front desk is not staffed. These people might be there onsite, but they are hiding in the back where they are not available for questions or to solve minor problems for guests. The front desk should be manned with friendly, helpful staff. Stop hiring people who don't want to work or interact...
