Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Owasso

Honestly I hate to complain, but who am I kidding I love to complain. Believe me when I say i understand mishaps because I work in fastfood as well, and I have a passionate hate for every one of my customers just for coming to the restaurant, but regardless I follow policy and do the easy job of at least giving the people their sauce. So since I understand some mishaps, I also understand how absolutely stupid and blind you have to be to mess up my whole order. I was STARVING, I had to wait two hours because doordash sucks and a doordasher stole my first order so I had to order again and wait. So after I waited to hours just to get the chicken ive been craving since not eating anything whilst being sick, my food arrived. Open the box, its cold, no biggie cuz ill just pop it in the airfryer. But wait, theres more, I take a peek in the box, the meal clearly comes with 5 chicken strips. Im missing a strip. Okay, no biggie, EVEN THOUGH IM PAYING 25 DOLLARS FOR A SHITTY MEAL. So thats not even all, whatever im missing a strip, im fat anyway so no biggie, I also ordered mac and cheese, guess what. If you guessed no mac and cheese, youd be right. Okay whatever, because it was gonna be cold anyway right? So I go to eat my four chicken strips, and i eat two of them. I am a saucy person, so i need my sayuce, which is why i explicitly paid for extra sauce, not only did i not get my extra sauce, BUT I DIDNT EVEN GET THE SECOND COMPLIMENTARY SAUCE. Ok whatever, chicken strips are a bust, not even mad that im missing one because they were cold dry and stringy anway, so ill overlook everything because ive just really been wanting a sweet drink. I ordered sweet tea, go to take a sip, guess what. Hah. It must be my karma, peach tea. Im allergic to peaches. So not only was my entire order wrong and night of bedrotting and enjoying my chicken, but I got to add a very fun visit to the ER due to my severe allergy to peaches. Some of you might be thinking “well are you sure you didnt accidentally order peach tea?” Im sure. Checked my order. So, slim chickens. Thank you. So. So. So. Much for that glorious night. I placed an almost $100 order from them and they confirmed my order at 11:36 am. I picked delivery (through their website) and it was delivered to me at 11:54 am. When my husband and I went to eat our chicken club sandwiches they were ice cold. We tried to microwave them but they had such a bad taste. I decided to call them which I never do, I asked for a refund on the chicken club sandwich meal and the 2nd chicken club sandwhich. I didn’t ask for a refund on the other food because it was fine. I just wanted a refund on what we couldn’t eat because they delivered food that was ice cold. The manager ruebon, told me he prepared our food and it was the delivery that made it cold. This food was beyond cooled down from the 6 minute drive it takes to get to our house from slims. His solution was making Fresh food (“again” ) and me coming to pick it up. I rejected that because I paid the delivery fee through their site and picked delivery because it’s a rainy day. So now my husband and I are without lunch because of this. The customer service was terrible and highly disappointing, we eat here once a week with delivery most of the time and never had this experience. We were loyal customers and it’s unfortunate that their lack of willingness to correct their mistake ruined our views on this restaurant. We won’t be returning. This was the first time, I have ever tried any locations for this establishment. First off I would just like to say that I absolutely, loved the friendliness and attentiveness, of the staff. They were fantastic, anything you needed they were willing to accommodate you. As far as the food I tried a chicken sand-which was good, and the other order was chicken tenders, which again wasn't bad wasn't great. I think the main issue, just by cutting to the chase, was the indigents and all the sides were spot on, and great to eat. The chicken on the other hand, was dry, and the main reason the restaurant for me, is getting a 3 out of 5, is due to the environment, great staff, and unique deserts. I got two of their jar deserts, which were so good! I tried the strawberry and the chocolate. I'm going to go back to this location, and see if they were just off this day, with regard to the dry chicken, because other than that, I really loved this restaurant, unfortunately for being a chicken restaurant I can't go any higher than a 3 right now. I will do a edit review and score, if the next time I go, the food is perfect. On that note, I would still highly recommend this, for families, dates, and solo dining.
