Let's start with the good. The people we interacted with were nice. The menu is varied though it would be nice to have time to look it over on a menu. The food was mostly good. Nothing was bad enough to need to complain or send back.
Unfortunately having said that we did not have the best experience. We went on a weekday shortly after normal lunch times. It was empty. The floor really needed to be swept there was food pretty much all over it. This is a fast food experience where you order at a counter, and you are responsible for your own drinks, condiments, napkins, etc... Unfortunately most of those things also needed to be restocked and there was only one size of cup lid that didn't fit our cups.
All of that is pretty mediocre as a complaint, however, the real issue is the prices. We had two cheeseburgers with a small side and a small drink each. It was $38. One of them was a bacon burger, however, the bacon is the only piece of food I did not enjoy. It tasted like bacon flavored leather. It had clearly been cooked a long time ago and left to sit under heat lamps. The burgers themselves were over $10 and come with nothing. To add a side portion and a small drink is another $5 - $8 which is just nuts. For $20 a piece we could have just gone to any full service Restaurant and gotten better service. Again not the biggest complaint but their prices are way out of whack.
My only other complaint is that they do two things that I really don't care for. One they ask for a tip when you pay but they don't actually serve you. They did bring the food to us but that was the extent of it, and even McDonalds does that. The other issue is charging more for using a debit card. It's 2025 that processing fee is part of the overhead of doing business and their prices more than reflect the inclusion of that tiny fee.
Overall I would say it's a good restaurant with decent food and nice people, but unless they adjust their pricing I don't think we would go back. Truthfully we could have had steaks instead of burgers for the same price elsewhere. I guess there is a reason it was empty the whole time...
Read moreThis Mediterranean food restaurant is so highly rated I wanted to sample as many of their items as possible. That effort was somewhat achieved with a Chicken Kabob Dinner. Large chunks of delicious seasoned moist chicken breast on yellow rice, sharing the plate with smooth thick tzatziki, creamy hummus, and soft warm pita bread. A crisp fresh salad on the side, full of all the vegies and flavor you expect in a good Mediterranean/Greek salad. This was a generous serving of food. Taste and freshness that rates with the best Mediterranean food I have had in Tulsa. My wife helped in sampling the menu with her order of the big meaty cabbage rolls; she seldom passes up cabbage rolls. Her sides selection was hummus, tabouli, and the pita bread. The tabouli here is also outstanding. It is not the Oklahoma Sunday back yard BBQ version of tabouli. It is authentic; it is perfect! It is crucial that Mediterranean food be fresh in appearance and flavor. It has to be, to be good. Mozilla’s plates of food are impressive, delicious. It is a clean restaurant with a friendly comfortable neighborhood deli feel. Daily specials available. Order at the counter your food is delivered to the table. If you like Mediterranean food Mozilla’s has to be on your list to try. Likely to be...
Read moreWent to Mozilla's in Owasso today for lunch, after trying them twice before. Not being hugely hungry, I went with a bacon cheeseburger and no side, but I really had a jonesing for a cabbage roll, so I added one to my order. Service was fast, being that it was nearly 1pm. Folks were friendly enough, and my order was brought to my table in a very reasonable time. The cabbage roll was (again) a disappointment. The first time I had one, it was to go, so I chalked that letdown up to not eating it hot and fresh in the store. Not so this time. It was mostly cabbage, with probably a scant 1/3 cup or so of actual filling. What filling there was, was bland and lukewarm and just not that good. There's a lot of room to work with on cabbage rolls, and absolutely no excuse to not have some decent flavor in one. The burger was hands down one of the worst burgers I've had in Owasso. The patty was from frozen and cooked to death, with little to no flavor at all. I ate about half of it, then threw the rest away. Once I got home, I resorted to reheating some bbq ribs from over the weekend and calling that lunch. I'm always keen to give a place a second change, and in Mozilla's case, a third. Third time was definitely not a charm, and there won't...
