This place has gone completely down hill from staff to trade in credit. Let's start with staff I went in last night I stood at the case for 15 minutes and they were not busy at all there were 2 other people in the store counting my wife. There was a game the price wasnt on it so I was waiting patiently. Finally about 15 minutes later the guy come over and very rudely asked if I needed anything. I told him I wanted to see this game and a price on this one. He rudely said which game I said this 32x game and showed him. I then took the other game it was 52 dollars. I said I want it let me grab some of my trades out the truck and I will discuss that now. I walked back in and set them on the counter he said your going to have to wait about 15 minutes I'm in a transaction. If i wasnt really looking for this game i would of left for sure at this point. So i had about 15 games or so. Among these games are contra for nes, mario 3 ,ninja turtles, call of cthulhu xbox. These nes games you guys have on display selling for 40 dollars alone then call of cthulhu is easily 40 plus. All games were great shape no scratches aswell. Then he rudely asked if I had a I'd I said yes. He asked store credit or cash. Store credit fine. He told me gran total of 40 dollars in trade I was seriously expecting to get ripped off at 70 to 80. But 40. I literally about laughed out loud. He told me we cant give much on these titles. I laughed at that point said you guys are not even in the same realm as thrillville. He then said I'm not thrillville I said obviously. At this point with his smarta$$ remarke I was fed up it took everything I could from stomping this scrawny nerd in the ground. Maybe some common courtesy when your trying to RIP people off. I understand you cant give what you sale the games for but this wasn't even 25% of value this was a joke and it's not like these games will set longer than a week on the shelf. Update on this situation I took the same games to thrillville and got 80 trade In. Literally...
Read moreVery nice store, great selection, but mediocre staff at best. The store layout is great...you can tell where everything is. Every time I have visited, I have found what I have been looking for about 90% of the time. Now to the bad part..........the staff. They rarely greeted me when I walked in the store, some didn't even know what they were talking about when I asked them questions, and you pretty much have to track them down to get help. For the most part, they just chatted with the other employees, but there were a couple that were at least trying to help some people on the floor. One time there was a blonde working and she was chatting away with her friends that came in. I was there for about 30 minutes and she was STILL talking with her friends when I left. Totally unprofessional. If it comes to sports and sports memorabilia, they know next to nothing. I would imagine that they would be required to have some knowledge about it since they sell sports related items as well, but what do I know.
Overall, I would rate this store at about 3.5/5 stars, but due to the staff's lack of sports knowledge and employee awareness, I rate it at 2/5 stars. They definitely need to pick up their game if they want better reviews. I've been in retail for years and this is definitely not how you treat your customers.
This really isn't criticism, just a heads up....they even have a Joker bust from the Dark Knight movie. I asked the price and it was close to $2,000....found it at another store for about $700. Not sure if they have a ridiculous mark up percentage or what, but wanted to let others know they should do a price comparison on some items before...
Read moreI've been starting to lose interest in doing business with this store very quickly. I come here all the time, and they've changed. They're rude, and don't greet customers, and act is if serving you is a burden to them. The people working there are usually not very knowledgeable about most things there, such as: video games, anime, magic the gathering, comics, etc. And they've been drastically lowering their buy and trade payout rates to the point where it's not worth it to sell anything there anymore. I tried to sell an original ps1 with 8 games and 2 controllers, and they offered me $20. Then I tried to sell 34 unopened pokemon booster packs, and they offered me $11. When asked, they said they payout 25% of what they'll sell the items for, which is already ridiculous, but they don't even do that much. When you do the math, it's actually like 7.75%. Not even a tenth. And they mark up prices on tcg items by about 50-100% more than market value. They also sell cell phone accessories and snacks at an extreme price markup as well. And the video game consoles they sell are nearly what you would expect to spend on a used vehicle. It's overall just become a really greedy store over the last few years, and especially this year. And the employees don't treat people very kindly. I think I'm going to take a break from this store for a few years, as they've become very automated, greedy,...
