First Part: I cannot express how amazing and helpful Jorge, the manager at this Owasso Best Buy, has been to us!!! We had a truly difficult issue arise that absolutely no one was able to help us with. We contacted the chat, contacted support by phone, and even talked with some other staff at the store, and each time we were told that it is impossible to help with this situation and we were left at that. But when we came to the store another time, Gabby was there and she told our situation to Jorge, who took it upon himself to do everything in his might to help fix this issue!! It is such a rarity to meet with both such confidence and kindness and reassurance that Jorge gave us. We dont remember the last time we had such an amazing experience with customer service! He really did take upon himself a heavy burden that no one was able to help us with, and he did it quietly, confidently, and with ease. He said that if nothing else works, he will make sure to find a way that will resolve the problem we had. And he did!! We left the store feeling so relieved, so heard and so cared about.. that we want to give a huge shoutout to Jorge for all that he did for us! We wish more people like him would be part of the staff in all places! He made things possible out of the impossible!!
Second Part: Our experience with the staff at this Best Buy in Owasso has been absolutely phenomenal!! A humongous shout out to Gabby, who truly went above and beyond to help solve and fix all of the issues that we had come up within the last 3 months. Even just for this reason alone, we want to continue having business with Best Buy. Gabby helped us solve every single problem with such ease, such smoothness, and just overall pleasant demeanor, that all of the problems we had seemed like nothing thanks to her!
An issue we encountered was switching our tv purchase from the wrong account to the correct one. No one was able to help us, including customer service and other Best Buy staff in a store in Tulsa. But we decided to try going to the Best Buy store in Owasso, and thats when we met Gabby. After trying to fix this issue herself, but not being able to, she took it upon herself to make sure someone else from the staff was able to do the switch very smoothly and without a problem. This was in June of 2025!
Another situation we needed assistance with was to return the tv we purchased. Honestly, we were worried how the process will go since we never had experience returning such a big and expensive item before, but again it was Gabby who reassured us and eased all our worries, doing her best to make the return as easy and as smooth as possible!
And within these last 3 months, there were at least 5 times that Gabby helped answer all of our questions and fix the issues that came up and made our experience with Best Buy...
Read moreThis store has gone from one of the best servicing locations around to one of the worst. They have lost all of their good management and could care less about your loyalty. I have always used Best Buy for all of my electronic needs, and I have been a total tech member since it came out. I have never had a problem with them honoring a price on their website. So here's the situation. I purchased a Mac Book that was around $2600 online because I was 70 miles from any Best Buy locations. After doing some research, I discovered that the one I needed for the design work and multi-tasking capabilities was a different model and had a few upgrades. I had tried calling for a few days to get the exchange done, and they couldn't make it happen over the phone. Not to mention, I was on hold with the their over seas customer service department on 3 separate occasions for almost 30 minutes a call. After doing some digging around, I managed to find an extension number to get ahold of someone at the Owasso location. I tried to get the exchange done, and they told me they couldn't get it completed over the phone because it was about $800 more. I said that would be fine and asked if they would honor the price the next day since I was out of town. I was told yes. After arriving at the Owasso location and speaking to customer service. The young lady at the counter didn't even know how to complete the exchange and had to get another associate. That associate wouldn't honor the rain check I got the day before and had to talk to the manager. The manager then came over and said there was nothing he could do even if I had the conversation recorded telling me they would honor the price. I let him know that in the state of Oklahoma, what he was doing was called bait and switch, and it is illegal to do that to consumers. He then got the SKU on the Mac Book I wanted. He put in the info and said even if I could help you, it's not available anymore and laughed in my face. I then advised him to return the $2600 Mac Book I had already purchased and left. The people in this location could care less about your business. So good job to Aniket Valand (manager). You lost $4k in business today and no telling what I would have spent in the future. I will not be back to any Best Buy...
Read moreLast week I visited one of this store's "sister" stores, the 71st & 169 store in Tulsa--waiting at the door at store open in hopes of nabbing a scarce Chromecast. Three different employees, including the store manager, practically tripped over themselves to help me, spending nearly an hour waiting for someone at THIS store just to answer the phone to confirm with a manager that I could go ahead and pay for a Chromecast there (the last unreserved unit in the city) so that they could hold it for me at the Owasso store.
While no one at the Owasso store could be bothered to pick up the ringing telephone, the folks at the 71st & 169 store continued to help the many other customers who came in, while still trying to make contact with the Owasso store for me. When there weren't others to be helped, they were friendly and made small talk, including some enjoyable tech talk. At one point, they'd given up on ever reaching Owasso, and I was walking out the door when the security guy at the door grabbed me and let me know they'd finally reached someone. All of this for a $35 product, with no extra "service plan," etc. they could sell me for commission.
The service at the Owasso store, where I ultimately picked up the device, was a stark reminder that nobody "had" to be helpful, as I got to stand at the counter and watch an obvious jerk of a supervisor essentially reprimand the employee who had agreed to let me reserve the Chromecast by paying for it at the other store--this after the otherwise very friendly person at the service counter had looked at him in obvious fear and said, "I didn't agree to it," with me literally standing a foot away on the other side of the counter.
I've been guilty of using Best Buy for browsing and "hands on" with products, then buying online at a better price. I reconsidered a bit when they introduced the "price match" guarantee. After this experience, I'm sold... on the 71st & 169 store. Genuinely good customer service is worth considerably more than saving a few bucks in sales tax (or, for you folks in Owasso, a few bucks in gas money to get the service you deserve).
Best Buy, get rid of the jerk managers and hire some more employees like the ones that helped me at the 71st...
