I am an artist. Visuals, Sound, Writing- it depends on the means and often the space available to me. Born in Oxford, Talawanda Graduate with Honors. I came in on a non-event afternoon, in 2017, inquiring about volunteering and (maybe) getting a space in the building. I was only optimistic about the first part. The person I was living with at the time just wanted me back out there working. The man I talked to didn't ask anything much about me, but DID inform me that he had three Master's Degrees, did most of the custodial work, and scoffed at my saying that my volunteer work wouldn't even require paperwork - i.e. records for a law enforcement to verify. He did give me the contact info for the manager of things there. I sent her an email describing my offer, and listed abilities. I've been a teaching assistant in Art classes, trained some musicians; painted, maintained, and cleaned up after artists, in the restaurant business, and retail- and specialize in Customer Service. Read moreA beautiful historical building with a very professional, comfortable staff. The art displayed from personal artist's is enough to make a visit an awesome experience in itself ! There are artist's who have studio's on the 3rd floor you can meet during the second Friday of the month during the free hors d'oeuvres and music from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. There's an art shop and dance studio called Flowing Grace, and so many community based activities, there's so many lovely reasons to get to know more about the Oxford Community Art Center !!! ...

Memories include sit-down meals in the dining room, rose passings in the ballroom, meetings with our R.A. in the hallway, mornings in the shared bathroom, walking through downtown to classes. After graduation, as Miami Merger newlyweds, my husband and I lived in a small apartment building a couple blocks west of Ox College. Can't wait to visit town again and wander through...
