We booked a room for our family that was listed as "Sleeps 5." After we checked in at 10pm, we discovered the room only slept 4. No other rooms were available and the hotel refused to give us a roll-away. They also would not refund our $350 because we had booked through a third party travel website. We had to book at another hotel and spent over $700.||Days later I called the hotel to speak with the manager and seek a refund. I was told the third party website had misrepresented the room's occupancy and this was not the hotel's error. Therefore, no refund would be issued. The manager also told me these mistakes are why you should only make a reservation via the Hampton Suites (Hilton) website. ||After this frustrating call, I went to the hotel's actual website where the room was also listed as accommodating 5! I called the manager back and pointed out the error was not only the third party booking site, but the hotel's website as well. This finally got the manager to take my complaint seriously. An apology was offered along with a refund. ||While I'm grateful for the (eventual) refund, I remain unhappy with the way my initial concern was unaddressed or blamed on the booking website. It also should not have taken hours of my time to resolve. The manager said the mistake on the hotel's website would be corrected, but as of this writing (four days later) the room is still listed as "Sleeps 5" on...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed in the lack of care that management and staff at this location have for the health and well-being of their guests. I 10/10 do not recommend you eat the complimentary breakfast. The waffle dispenser spouts have silicone pieces inside that have black mold on them. Management and kitchen staff are fully aware of this and have been for several months, but continue to serve guests waffle batter this way. Loren (one of the managers), put duct tape over the mold and placed it back into the machine. This is an extreme violation of health and safety codes and regulations. HR and the Health Department have been contacted. You the people deserve the right to know this information as well. Seeing as many of us have probably eaten from this moldy waffle container without knowing. Not to mention the rates here can be extremely high and they pride themselves on being the best of the best. Read moreThis Hotel is actually in the top 5% out of 2800+Hamptons in America!!! It doesn't matter that this hotel has a few years on it, because the standards set by not only Hilton, but the owners and the General Manager, plus all their staff, have an unprecedented attitude about doing things right!!! Their rooms are super clean, the beds are new, and there is an inviting saltwater pool next to the fitness center. But don't expect to stay at this Hilton property without paying an appropriate price, as it is the only one of its kind within 30 miles. It also is the only Hilton in Oxford to service over 2000 visitors in a weekend with only 384 other hotel rooms in town! So it really and truly services only those established enough to afford it! So, if you happen to be one of those lucky people, consider yourself privileged to be one of the few people lucky enough to get a much sought...
