Recently moved back from Columbus was trying to go there for drinks and so forth. Its a literal BAR. So I figured I was OK. But unfortunately due to Oxford being a college town I was shown discourtesy from the brown haired door lady. While I get college environment I showed my I.D. and wasnt sure what to expect. As she said do you have a college I.D. I replied no then she rudely said I cannot come in. I just asked "oh I thought this was a bar" and before I could finish asking my question she rudely responded no multiple times very aggressive like she wanted to fight me. I just turned around and left and said nothing. Again I can understand after the words college I.D. due to my oblivious about the expectations but its the hospitality that I do not like. A simple "I'm sorry sir I can't let you enter without a college I.D." would be fine but the latter of her behavior was not like that. Do not be upset next time someone comes in and you give them that same attitude and they press down on you to the point that if you looking for a fight you end up getting one. You may get a lot of roughing from time to time but your knack for not reading the room or the person is very very sad and very...
Read moreHuge thank you and shout-out to the amazing staff at Brick Street in Oxford! 🙌❤️ My son lost his wallet there on Saturday night during Parents Weekend. On Sunday, I reached out and the owner immediately had his area manager search for it even though they were closed. He called me back to let me know they found his Louis Vuitton wallet — with his ID, cash, and every single thing still inside! 🥹 They even arranged for it to be taken to a nearby business that was open so my son could pick it up right away. I offered a $100 reward for their honesty and help, and they refused to take it. We are so grateful for people like him — truly restoring faith in humanity! Let's not forget it's the most amazing bar/club from day until night.Thank you again to Brick Street for going above and beyond! 🍎❤️ #MiamiOH #MiamiParentsWeekend...
Read moreThe week before classes called, I tried to call Brick street and email them to see if people over 21 that don't go to Miami Oxford (I go to the University of Cincinnati) could get in. I knew during the school year the answer is no, but this was the week before. I called twice at 9 pm, 10pm, and 11 pm (no one ever answered) and I had sent an email 4 days before that no one replied to. In the end, I showed up at midnight, and needless to say, they started their "only Miami students" policy that night. I told them they should post this on their website or answer their phones so I didn't have to waste my time driving up. The girls working the front desk literally said, "Honestly, the owner makes enough money here anyways so he doesn't care if we answer the phone." Never will I go back to a place that talks to...
