Mid Atlantic Seafood — Restaurant in Oxon Hill

This was my first time going to this Mid Atlantic Seafood on 4/26/23! I was treating my family for dinner and I stopped in here! I spoke to the people who'd already ordered their food about what toborder but I was told all of the food there was good! They have a huge selection to choose from, including desserts and smoothies! I bought 3 meals and desserts. First, I bought turkey wings, lo mein and kale greens! Secondly, chicken wings, fried rice and kale greens. Third, #24 seafood platter which was 2 fillet fish, 3 scallops and 3 shrimp with cabbage and mashed potatoes with gravy. For dessert I got peach cobbler, strawberry shortcake and lemon meringue pie. Just like the people told me; the food is good but I have to rely on my family telling me! Even though we enjoyed most of the food, we did have a problem with the fried chicken wings having feathers on them, so they weren't eaten at all! However, we did go back on 4/27/23 to buy more food and enjoyed all of it! I did tell the manager about our first experience, he offered to give us something but I just wanted him to correct the chicken and that's all! Updated Review as of Mid-March of 2021 and during The COVID-19 Global Pandemic: I recently visited here in search of a well-deserved Soul Food Dinner. I will be very honest and say that this Resturant Was Not my first choice but I had no choices left since two of my favorite restaurants for Soul Food had already closed for the day. I was very skeptical at first because I have never had their BBQ Ribs before....but OMG❗Was I In For An Amazing Surprise/Treat.🤩🤗🙂😊😷🙃👍🏽👍 I got the 5 Rib Sandwich and a Smothered Pork Chops Sandwich and a Large Lemonade. I could not believe how huge, tender and meaty their ribs are, and I could not finish my entire Sandwich before I was full. And heating up eating my leftovers was a wonderful experience too. Their pork chops and Lemonade tasted great too. Been coming here for awhile. Decent food, I can always get a full plate of vegetables here. Only issue is the service. Cant call in because the phone is always off the hook or busy. Not turned off...OFF THE HOOK. And when you do get through, they put you on hold for an undetermined amount of time (as I speak I've been on hold for 10 minutes. I'll finally hit "Post" on this when they pick up). Doesnt matter how busy it is.

So now you're forced to go inside and wait 25-30 minutes (they'll tell you 10-15) if you have an order that isnt under the hot light. And during this pandemic? 25-30 minutes sitting as people who either refuse to wear a mask or wear a mask incorrectly walk in and out? No bueno.

So, if you want something quick that isnt fried to hell? I'd recommend going in and grabbing something pre-cooked behind the glass. Food is ok, best in and out alternative to fast food in the area.

If you want something that isn't pre-cooked? Avoid. Your time isnt worth it.

Side note: Gave up at 20 minutes on hold. Pulled up to the building...no one in...
