I brought my mom to Pacific grove for a few days and decided to stay here.
It is within steps to the water. The view from my room was incredible.
It's an older place so expect that. And if your looking for the Ritz Carlton for this price...your looking in the wrong place.
I knew we would only be sleeping and showering here so I did not want to spend a fortune while staying close to the water.
They no longer offer breakfast here...probably to not spend the money...but its nice to try the local food. They have some great places that are close.
If you want some amazing clam chowder try vivolos. It's literally a couple blocks away and was so good.
The room was clean and had no bad odor. I could not get the heater to work...but the man at the counter tried to fix it...he ended up getting the space heater from the office and that worked great. He was really nice and helpful.
There is coffee in the room but I brought my own coffee grounds and creamer.
The rooms do have a fridge...iron...blow dryer and tv.
I brought one if the chairs on the deck each morning while drinking my coffee.
I would definitely stay here again. It's so close...

I love this spot because it’s always beautiful and warm compared with all the beaches in Monterey and Santa Cruz. The beach is hidden behind a rock wall so even on the cold day in the winter, we would still have a good time here.
Also, an interesting thing to note about Monterey coast as well is that when the weather is hot inland 85-95, out at the beach is mostly cloudy. During winter when the temperatures inland is about 60-70, out at the beach it’s mostly sunny. This happens because the hot air is pushing out all the moisture during hot days and when it’s cool, moisture is able to go inland and allowing the sky to clear up near the beach. Generally the temperatures at the beach is mostly around 60-65 degrees year round and one of the reasons we love to go to the beach here...
