Unfortunately, I have not been able to stay at this location. This hotel has charged me for night's stay that never occurred, please see the rest (warning: long review):

I found what seemed to be an availability for the night of 08/20/23, so I went through the entire booking process. I entered all of my personal information, including the credit card number and selected the button to confirm the reservation. Nothing seemed to happen. The screen went back to the Lover's Point Inn homepage. I did not receive a charge on my credit card and I did not receive any confirmation, of any kind, whatsoever. No email. No phone call, Nothing on my credit card, nothing. At all. I went on about my business because I had other responsibilities to tend to before attempting to book a room again.

I am not a computer illiterate individual. I work from home utilizing many different programs and train others how to use programs all the time. So, this wasn't a "rookie" mistake I could have made due to a lack of knowledge on how to use my computer and/or the internet.

Considering I have not received any confirmation of booking from Lover's Point Inn, on 08/08/23 I attempted to see if they still had availability. Unfortunately, they did not. So, I booked a room for the night of 08/19/23 at the Sandcastle Inn in Seaside. For this transaction, I immediately received booking confirmation and knew I was safe to travel.

This brings me to August 13th at 10:34pm. I was asleep at this time, as most people would be. However, I received a missed call from the Lover's Point Inn. I thought it was extremely odd and referred back to my experience with the web site and I knew I needed to contact them. On the dates of 08/14 & 08/15, I tended to my work duties. They were very busy days that included travelling to other parts of California as I have two jobs. Finally, on Wednesday 08/16, I had a moment to call back the Lover's Point Inn. As I dialed them, I brought up my credit card account on my computer and noticed that they had charged me for $326.18 on 08/13 for a single night's stay at their hotel.

I explained to the gal on the phone that I did not stay there that evening, nor did I ever intend to. I also explained that I went on the web site previously to book a room there for the evening of 08/19, but I was unsuccessful. She politely requested that I call back after 4:00pm to speak to the GM, which I obliged.

After 4:00pm I contacted the Lover's Point Inn and spoke with the GM. I explained the entire scenario to him. He did not seem able to put together the timeline and explanation that I have laid out here in this email. He continued to talk over me and referred back to the fact that I entered the information into their system. I explained to him that I have never denied the fact that I did enter this information into their system, I did! However, there was never a confirmation of any kind for the reservation I was attempting to book. It was also the wrong weekend I would be staying. It was increasingly frustrating attempting to explain this to him. The only answer I was provided is that I input my information and I booked the room. As if the system was perfect and incapable of making a mistake.

I explained to the GM that there was a mistake in the system over and over. Out of my control completely. I explained this reservation was NEVER confirmed as well, which is why I made another expensive reservation at another establishment (only due to lack of availability). The GM only stated that he will not be providing me with a refund.

I am doing anything in my power to plead for the understanding that this entire ordeal is a mistake, and not my fault. I'm actually not blaming an individual specifically either. Things happen! We all know this. Please, reconsider the refund. The cost of this is burdening to me and my family as we barely could afford to book a room for one night (now I have the cost of two nights on my shoulders with no...

This Inn is a decent place to lay your head that is very close to beautiful views of the Pacific Grove Coast. It's nestled right across the street from Lovers Point Beach, there is a small cafe across the street and breathtaking views for miles. The majority of the rooms have some ocean view. Check in was pretty easy with the office staff. The hotel has limited amenities. Included was Wifi (spotty conncetion), Microwave, mini fridge, ceiling fans, teeny coffee maker, hair dryer & TV. There is an outdoor elevator & outdoor stairs to all levels. The cons were minimal but will note just for the sake of sharing. The parking was very limited & not easily maneuvered. The available breakfast was very simple juice, toast coffee selections. The bathrooms in both rooms we had were pretty small, cramped. The Beds were not very comfortable (However, they appeared clean & the linens were not bad). One room had a 27" TV the other had a much smaller one that looked more like a Computer monitor. One room had wall plugs for phone chargers, the other did not. We were not able to have side by side rooms, so unfortunately for the guest roomed in between us, we had to move back & forth past them. The microwave available was not very powerful. They have 1 ice machine located at the 1st floor outside the elevator. For our short trip this place worked as intended. It wasn't too pricey for the going rates in the area. If minor upgrades/improvements were made the Inn would be more desirable to longer staying guests. I'd rate this overall as a...

I have to admit, I was pretty disappointed in the hotel my husband booked for us when I saw it..it seemed expensive for what it was and so tiny and rundown. However, I wanted to make the best out of it so we decided to stay and I’m glad we did! The hotel definitely needs some updating and the photos for the hotel are extremely misleading, which was frustrating. I’d rather get honest photos of the place instead of ones that make everything look larger than it is. The room we had was the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in! The bed was comfortable though, the room seemed cleaner than most nicer hotels we’ve stayed at, which I really appreciated, and there was the option of a heater or a stand up plug in fan which I ended up being thrilled about because I feel like I need airflow in stuffy hotel rooms. The location was really great with the ocean being a walk across the street. Between the bed, the cleanliness, the fan in the room, and the short walk to the beach, I definitely enjoyed this hotel and I’d stay there again for sure! If I saw this place in person would I have picked here to stay? Probably not..it’s not the pretty hotel you see at the beach, it could use some upgrading..but it was a pleasant stay for us, I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying this place out. I would say the hotel itself is probably a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel but I gave it 4 because a clean hotel room seems hard to find these days and I really was impressed with the cleanliness...

You can't beat the gorgeous views just across the street, but...the accommodations are subpar. They really need to redesign the layout of the entire lodging. The room we were assigned was very small and dated with the bed right next to the window, which was right next to parking lot. Uhhh, not very romantic ambience. More like a motel (rather than inn), if you ask me. Also parking is very limited and doesn't seem like enough for each room, even with an underground garage. Breakfast is pretty standard, except that there's no place to sit, unless you go outside to the front of the building. There's a small nook counter that holds some appliances; Also, the elevator from the garage seemed like it would break down whenever it moved. Sigh. It took me a good hour to get over my feelings of grossness and disappointment. At least the bed is nice; cushy, but firm. And the faucets function with clean water. And there's clean, fresh towels.

Very thin walls, old building, windows and rooms. It's dated and not entirely comfortable. The location is the only great thing about this hotel. It was too easy to hear noises all night from neighboring rooms and the parking lot. The carpet was old and musty, the room always felt slightly damp and a bit smelly. The mattress on the bed was falling off a big on one side and was very lumpy, so during the night I kept sliding down the bed and having to move back up.This was a room on the first floor. They moved us to a room on the second floor due to some repair needs they had, and that room was much better because it had been renovated recently, so it had wood floors instead of carpet which was a HUGE improvement. The bathroom was better, the mattress on the bed was more firm and not falling off. It was a more comfortable room over all. So if you stay here, try to avoid the first floor or insist on an updated room.

Wife and I had to escape our house. In-law, sister, our kids, dogs. Found LPI on Google maps. Location was perfect. Reservations were easy to complete beyond the not knowing what room number you will get. Check in was a breeze. 4pm is check in but we came early just because and the let us in at 1:30pm. That was nice. I felt really lucky with the room we got. 304 has a great view of Lovers Point. They do have an underground parking lot if the street parking is full. I can say the room looked and felt clean. As most inns/motels the room and sheets have a smell of bleach. Nice flat screen TV with the worst reception possible. Mini fridge set to the warmest setting. Don't even try the in room coffee. Plenty of hot water and great shower pressure. All in all it was a great stay and we felt comfortable.
