I'll start off by saying I've been a pro member at game stop since 2012 and have spent thousands of dollars at gamestop. Today I went in Because a controller I had bought over a month ago.Didn't work for background I own a ps3 4 and five so I play the 5 primarily I bought the ps4 controller just so I had a brand new one for my girl when b06 came out so she could play on the 4 and me on the 5. I didn't attempt to use the controller until the day of b06 launch witch Admittedly, is my fault. I should have tested everything on the controller. The day I bought it. So I brought it in and explained I've had it probably a month it didn't work when I tried it. Can I exchange it and i even explained i play ps5 thats the reason its been so long. We waited to play the ps4 til b06 so we just found the problem but i was there last night for the pre launch and had a great time with the general manager. The employe looked up my name and there only response was (its been over a month) then got a different controller took mine hooked up to a computer couldn't get it to do anything. Then hooked the new one up showed me it worked and then wrote the number down from my controller and the new one after this the employe looked me in my face and said (I don't want to see you here again). I replied with well I buy stuff all the time and have spent thousands so I'm sure you will. I went home hooked the controller up it worked fine and I turned the ps4 off and turned on my ps5 to play b06. Then I thought hey let's get that controller charging so it's ready for my girl I sat the controller on the charging station. And nothing happened I switched sides nothing again so I pick it up and look at it. Some of the prongs on the inside where green and Corroded so I thought well this won't work I use a charging station. If I can't charge it the way I want with the charging station I bought from gamestop when i bought my ps4 then I should go exchange it. So I took the controller to the other gamestop in town since I had been told by the employee (I don't want to see you here again). I got there and look who it was my favorite guy who did pre launch last night for b06 already at work again. I explained everything he told me he was sorry and went to look it up and guess what the employee didn't even put it in the system. There was no way for me to exchange the new controller for one that charges on a station because she made no record of the prior exchange so in gamestops system and the controller was still there's in there inventory. He called her and there was nothing we could do so I told him so now what I buy another controller and she just keeps my old shiny blue one. Yep that's exactly what happened he apologized and sold me a new new controller and I told him I'll still shop here I love you you make the Exchange always pleasant and you make me want to come back. But if she is ever in the store I will not buy anything from there and I will leave. Because she was rude and then I had to buy another controller and she got to keep my old one. So I eneded up paying for two controllers and only having one at the end. Witch if I had done that at the beginning wouldn't have been a problem. The issue was now I've had to do two Exchanges and then pay for one and drive around town multiple times. I love gamestop and the general manager I will keep coming back but if that employee is there I will leave. I understand having a bad day but being rude and not entering things in the system and doing your job is Unacceptable. The only reason I'll be back is the general Manger he is awesome so I give them 4 out of 5 stars it would be 5 and someday I will change this to 5 and edit my post when they have earned it. Read moreI called to speak to a supervisor about a situation involving my daughter & her boyfriend. I first spoke to Peyton who stated the same thing my daughter told me. Then I heard whispering in the background like Peyton was being coached what to say so I said “Please put the person who’s whispering in the background on the phone”. So I’m now speaking with Jeff who was very dismissive on what I had to say even though multiple times I said “I just want you to recognize that the issue should have been handled differently”. His response was “sure”. We talked about how to resolve the issue or he basically said You can go to the mall & purchase the game or not because I’m not going to continue to listen to you & I’m going to end the conversation. Mind you our conversation was less than 5 minutes Jeff was very rude and acted like I was bothering him. He shouldn’t be representing your company if he dislikes the public so much. I have never been treated this way by a customer service representative in my life. Do you not realize customers such as myself are the reason you have a job! Peyton was nice on the phone but she just seemed clueless as to how to handle the entire situation. I think you (Game Stop) need to train people better on things from ringing customers up to talking to a dissatisfied customer in the phone. If Jeff worked for me & I found out he spoke to a customer like he talked to me he would have been terminated the second I found out about it! To end my rant I asked for the number to the corporate office & Jeff said in a hateful tone “ It’s on our website”. Horrible customer service from the second the phone was answered until we hung up. Or as Jeff says he ended the conversation!!!

Read moreThis store has so much cool stuff! The competitive prices. It's notso expensive that you would assume you might as well just not waste your time stopping there. Another great plus is it has a great array of items throughout the store, from all different spectrums of gaming system platforms and games galore for all the platforms, as well as merchandise for games t-shirts, Socks, figurines, anything you can think of they have it. Yet everything is all-in-one it's very cool the staff was tremendously Awesome! Tremendously knowledgeable about their jobs and all it's content they were extremely helpful! They were delighted to help actually, which is nice to see, they went out of their way to help ALL customers equally and to their best ability. The kind of store with employee employees that make the customer come back over and over and become now repeat customers.
