There was quite a bit of disappointment in Talon Falls Escape for us.
First and foremost, our game guide was wonderful and friendly so I do want to give kudos to her.
We signed up for the Antidote room for my son’s 11th birthday, a total of 3 of us. We booked the room based off of the information on the website that indicates if a room says family friendly it is not scary. This room says family friendly. About 3/4 of the way through there was a graphic Zombie video and also a large gush of startling water that was supposed to resemble blood that sprayed us in the face. This made us very apprehensive to finish the room worried we would be startled again.
There were a few times when we were ready for our hint where we had to wait for the game guide (but the clock kept counting) because she was alone and had other teams to assist.
A couple of the locks and the final puzzle were not in working order when we visited either so it made the ending awkward, ok, you win, you can get out now.
Then, we did make it out, but even though they advertise shirts, they did not have a single shirt to sell us indicating we escaped, a disappointment to my son because I had told him repeatedly if we beat it I’d buy him the shirt since it was his birthday, no sticker, literally nothing.
The puzzles were enriching and good quality, so that is a plus. And, again, the game guide was great, another plus.
All in all, definitely not worth the ticket price when compared to other escape rooms and you consider the fact that it was startling when we were assured it wasn’t, some puzzles/locks weren’t in working order, and they had nothing to commemorate successful completion...
Read moreMy experience was just “okay”. From the moment we walked in, you could feel the warmth. Not sure if the AC was working appropriately but the lack of cool air made the experience subpar. The escape rooms were even warmer than the waiting area. We were sweating and having to fan ourselves throughout the experience.
The clues weren’t bad but weren’t great either. I wondered how you could move forward without having a few of the clues, there’s just no way someone would know how to interpret the items in the room in that manner. It should also be noted that it was difficult to hear the “clue-master” through their intercom system. Not sure if she was soft spoken of the volume was just low for that room.
Phones are not allowed in the escape room so we were asked to place our phones in a basket that staff would keep behind the front desk. However, we decided to leave our phones in the car. With that said… we didn’t have the opportunity to take...
Read moreMy group paid $100+ and booked online for the 6:30 slot for The Spell. We drove 2 hours & showed up 45 minutes early and told the host what we were there for. We waited for our time in the lobby, only to be told at 6:30 (after waiting 45 minutes) when a 2nd group came in that we were double booked and that they would be doing the room and we could reschedule or be refunded. We asked the host what happened and we were told that they couldn’t do anything about double bookings, the system automatically allows it. Asked for a refund and she said we’d have to call the hotline in order to receive it. We were assured it would take 2-3 business days to receive it when we asked the host, so we called the # and were told we wouldn’t receive a refund for at least 10 business days. I don’t blame the host, however we should’ve been informed the moment we walked in, not when the game was beginning. Disappointed in the...
