My fiancé gave me the Elsa Peretti® Diamonds by the Yard® bracelet (Product number: 60131449) a year or two ago for my birthday. It was incredibly special because it was the first real diamond he ever bought me. I wore it on my right wrist every day and cherished it deeply.
I have a low-impact, physical job, so it was shocking when, one day, as I was carrying something into a client’s office, I noticed my bracelet had fallen to the floor. I thought it was strange but had someone help me clasp it back on and continued with my day. A few weeks later, the exact same thing happened—during another simple task, I felt the bracelet fall off again. At that point, I realized this wasn’t just a coincidence.
Because the Tiffany store was over an hour away, I had to go out of my way to take the bracelet in for inspection. When I finally got there, they told me there was nothing wrong with it. I expressed my concerns about the clasp, and they said if I wanted it replaced, it would cost me $85. I asked for a second opinion, and they assured me again that it was just a freak accident and that the bracelet should be fine.
Fast-forward a few months, and while I was in the Dominican Republic, the bracelet fell off again. This time, I wasn’t so lucky—it was gone. I lost a piece of jewelry that wasn’t very old and held immense sentimental value.
I firmly believe this was no fault of my own but a failure on Tiffany’s part. For the price I paid, the clasp should have been replaced or repaired as a courtesy, especially given that the bracelet wasn’t that old. This experience has left me feeling devalued as a customer.
I am deeply disappointed and heartbroken. That bracelet was more than jewelry to me—it was my “wedding bracelet” and a symbol of an incredibly special moment in my life. Tiffany has lost my trust, and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
If you’re reading this, I urge you to consider buying jewelry from a different retailer. For the price Tiffany charges, their service and quality control should reflect the premium they claim to provide. Sadly, in my experience,...
Read moreJanice was absolutely phenomenal! I came here to have a piece of jewelry re-sized. Janice was quick to understand my concern and reason for my visit and was very forthcoming with what the process would consist of. She actually advised against getting it resized now as the jewelry was new and as anything new, there was a desire to show it off. A very important thing to mention as re-sizing would take at least a week due to the item needing to be shipped to NY for the work to be done. Janice did continue present a temporary work-around until such a time where I am able to part from the jewelry to have it re-sized. While no transaction was made on this day, I left extremely satisfied, valued, and respected as a customer. Additionally, Janice was incredibly personable. While her focus was on the jewelry, the conversation was in such a way that did not make me feel pushed or guided down a path I ultimately didn't want. Truly one of the best acts of customer service I've had. I've experienced great things from the NY Tiffany & Co stores; Janice's customer service even excelled in levels above that. -An exceptionally...
Read moreNever experienced such a low class group of individuals in such a so called first class store! They actually had the audacity to accuse my Elsa Perretti diamonds by the yard fake and refused to repair the clasp ! I sent this necklace once before to replace the clasp and they sent it out to some mediocre jewelers shop on the avenue and they kept the initial clasp and repaired it with a non descript clasp which unfortunately I didn’t notice, assumed I would be getting it back identifying it as Elsa Paretti! Fortunately I found my insurance paper and had a photo of the clasp! After I purchased it I decided to dip it silver and they claimed that made a difference!! That was my necklace to do what I wanted!!! They finally repaired it after going through such rude sales people,no apology just a genetic note!! Stay away from this store this is not the old Tiffany I’ve been shopping in for 70 years! Expect it to be turned into a restaurant can’t survive on four...
