Got my ears periced here 5 months ago. No problem, quick. I've since then gotten a piercing infection from incorrectly re inserting my original earrings(the ones they pierce you with, with the needle post). I go back today to get a replacement pair of studs with the flat post in stainless Steele or titanium (because I have nickel allergies. I explained to the MANAGER my situation and she pointed me to a pair of 14k gold for their high quality and she did indeed see the infection. Her care instructions we're to leave the infected lobe open (no ear ring) for 24 hrs, let it heal a little and then force the earring back through the then healed lobe or to leave it out completely, let it completely heal (with the infection!) And come back to get it re pierced. This threw me off because that would create a cyst in the lobe healing the infection in(basically sealing it in). We preceded to checkout she suggested I buy their ear care solution. My grand total at this point is $45 (1 pair 14k gold earring and one bottle solution). She makes it a point to let me know on that pair no refunds. I say okay because there would be no reason to return them. Done, card swipe, outa there.
Now the fun part, I go to the food court restroom to put in my new high quality gold esrings. They are the piercing earrings!! With the needle post! Frustrated, I return back to her for a refund. She clearly was not listening to my situation with the needle post! Ugh fine just give me my money because I told you what I did not need and you sold it to me anyways!
She tells me, all bubbly, that I can't return them "it's store policy the computer won't let me" I ask if there is a manger with an override, she is the manger, great. She continues to offer me store credit on $44, but we already went over the other options and there were none that fit my situation and I still need to buy a pair of flat post studs for my infected and irritated ears. After ignoring me to answer the phone while she's "helping me" she takes other customers like I'm going to go away or something. I stand my ground, give her glares puff my chest, I'm irritated! Finally she types around on her register for a SECOND and boom refund.
This place sucks, their manger has terrible customer service and very poor health knowledge about piercings. DO NOT GO HERE.
So after ALL that I'm back at square one. I see a Kay jewlers, tell them my situation, they can't help, that's fine at least they are honest, they point me to the piercing both down one level called PIERCING PAGODA. Oh my holy grail! The girl there was very knowledgeable, sold me a two set of stainless Steele FLAT post studs for only $12, a bottle of solution for $2 and a nice warranty for $2. She was surprised to hear the infection care instructions from Claire's manager because of how unhealthy it was. They do piercings there too. I'm going to PIERCING PAGODA for my next piercing. You...
Read moreMy rating is based only one my interaction with Vanessa on 12/20/22. I walked in with my daughters and asked if they had time for an ear piercing for my youngest. Vanessa helped us right away. She was very friendly, funny, kind and patient. My 7 year old daughter with special needs wanted her ears pierced. Vanessa called another employee over and they were going to pierce at the same time to help with her anxiety. Unfortunately the other employee did not successfully pierce my daughters ear, Vanessa side went through successfully. My daughter refused…for easily an hour to allow Vanessa to fix the other ear. She was patient and talked to her, coached her, even had ice brought to numb her ear. In the end my daughter did not get the other ear pierced but the entire time Vanessa was so patient. She deserves a raise and to be noticed for how she carries her self as an employee. I cannot say how thankful I am we met with her that day, even if it didn’t go as we planned...
Read moreMy kid's favorite store in the mall! Please don't remove it! We love the specials they always have going on. Usually spend over $50 with some but one get one free deals when we go. Only complain is that SOME/MOST workers ARE NOT so friendly or helpful. I would be standing there with a question and they would ignore me even my kids, because they are on their CELLPHONES or doing "something" then when I say hello they look bothered to help. Some friendlier employees should get hired. There were few(2) nice employees that were actually attentive, greeted us, and asked us to let them know if we needed any help, and offered us baskets when they saw us struggling to hold our items, very thoughtful and kind of them, I didn't even know they had those little...
