I love Don Roberto Jewelers, and have been a loyal client there for years. However, today I had a bad experience with a worker there at the palm desert location in the mall. Her name is Nelly and I hope to never get her as a worker again. At first she greeted me politely and asked if I needed help. I explained to her that I wanted something silver that costed very minimal to wear for my birthday. I told her my budget was very little and that I didnât want to get a $2000 necklace that she kept insisting I buy. She kept urging me to buy something very expensive, even though I told her I couldnât afford it. She kept saying to use my credit card and I had to explain to her three times that I was already using the credit to pay off two marriage rings. She simply ignored me even when I explained it to her in hers and my native language, in Spanish. After she kept showing me things that were not in my price range I saw that she kept avoiding one section. I pointed it out and realized it was where the things I could afford were. After that she started to treat me differently. She started to rush me and was visibly annoyed. I found something I loved by myself and she took it to charge me for it. Before she could charge me I pulled out a coupon I got for my birthday. Which is literally this month on April and gave it to her. She looked at it and shook her head saying that it expired in February. I asked her how that could be possible when my birthday it literally this month and it doesnât even have a date. I asked her to show me where it said expired and she pointed at the logo which says âgifts with lots of love and foreverâ (but in Spanish) and said it was from February. I was frustrated at this pointed but still wanted the necklace. I bought it and when she was asking me to sign papers she literally kept mumbling the things she was saying. Now, I donât know how it is when someone buys it then and there but is it normal to automatically add insurance if I didnât ask for it? Because the necklace I got was $150 but an additional $13 were added for insurance I was not told of until I check the receipt. I know I will keep going to Don Roberto but never to that location again. I seriously wish I had gotten a different person, maybe someone who would not harass and bully me. Happy birthday...
Read moreDecided to give this place a second chance but they just continue to disappoint. First time we went here they lost links to my sons bracelet but luckily they were able to fix the issue. Sadly the customer service for me has ruined any future purchases. They hired a new woman, who only speaks Spanish, which seemed a bit strange to me considering its a jewelry shop at a mall. Luckily I speak Spanish but it prevented me from having the experience I would have liked because Spanish isn't my first language. Everytime I stop by it seems like the new woman is either left alone or has minimal help. I stopped by today to make a down payment and she couldn't even handle the register. I was able to make a payment once I called the cathedral...
