I had one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I’ve ever had at this Aritzia location. I initially went to the store to return a dress that was in perfect condition — never worn, all tags attached, identical to one on the sales floor. The store accepted my return and I walked out into the mall. Then, suddenly, a store associate ran after me outside to tell me my return was “not actually accepted” because the store MANAGER, EVA (or something like that), had decided to reject it.
Earlier, when I first tried to return the dress, this same manager spoke to me in a rude, dismissive tone and treated me with attitude. I left with my dress and contacted Aritzia Concierge, who confirmed that my return SHOULD be accepted and told me to go back to speak with the manager. Even then, she continued to refuse. Finally, I handed my phone to her so Concierge could speak with her directly and explain that she had to process the return — only then did she do it. I noticed a clear difference in how I was treated compared to two other customers before me, whose returns were accepted instantly without questions.I was kept there for almost an hour, questioned, and treated poorly, while others were helped right away. This made me feel discriminated against and completely unwelcome, I felt I was treated very differently, almost singled out.
I want to say that the Aritzia Concierge team was very professional, helpful, and handled the situation correctly, even though the in-store experience was frustrating and unnecessary. Chasing a customer out of the store to reverse an accepted return, refusing to follow company policy until pressured by head office, and showing blatant disrespect is unacceptable. It reads if I was to buy it between November 15 and December 22, 2024, a full price item I have until January 5, 2025 to return the item and I get full refund the same way I paid for it. My Son wanted another jacket from Aritzia. So he took the one I got him + the original receipt to return it yesterday (12/26/24) and get what he wanted it. They told him in the store since I did not click a gift as I was checking out on the website, therefore the holiday extended return policy does not apply to this jacket and they can only return it for a store credit and a gift card format. My son argued with them for such a long time and finally he gave up and he excepted the gift card. We called Artzia concierge 800 number. I expected a fight. However, (although Monika had an attitude and she was a bit sensitive which she should not work as a customer service if she is that sensitive. I explain for her multiple times it’s Aritzia in the mall. I’m having an attitude with not her.). my son intervened and explained the whole situation for her right away, she de-valued the gift card and issued a full refund to my credit card. Also, she stated that she’s going to reach out to that location with the feedback regarding how they handled that situation which in my humble opinion, they lied their —— off. Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of Aritzia for years, since when there were only 2 locations available in NY/NJ. Ever since GSP store opened, I visited here only. Aesthetically pleasing and friendly staff. I sometimes brought my friends and family here. However there was a staff who was very rude and unprofessional, and I’m NOT returning here. It was around 8pm. I brought my mom to the store to get a winter coat. She wanted to see how the colors of the coat were. We tried 2 coats on and put them back to where they were. However this staff approached to us right away, then started to organize the rack as if we messed the store up. Her aura was telling us to leave, which made my mom very uncomfortable. Her attitude discouraged our eager to purchase. She didn’t even say hello/bye. I understand we visited late, but the store was still opened. If she wanted to start closing early, she could’ve told us to visit next day. We wouldn’t mind hearing that. I had to return to the store later and address this to the store manager.
